Chapter 32

Fast forward to the next day

* Aspyn's POV * 

I'm currently at the mall looking for some clothes to wear for the trips I'm going on and for Heath's fourth of July party. I'm going to Japan with Matt and I'm surprising Natalie to also come with us during Matt's birthday party. After I get Matt's reaction to the tickets, I'm going to show Natalie that she's coming by just simply giving it to her. I need to get the tickets tonight before the prices get more expensive. 

I push the hangers that are on the rack to the side to look at each shirt. I find a few things that would be good enough. I've been at this mall for a couple of hours so I need to get going to get ready for Disneyland.  Plus, I have some stuff at home that would be fine for Japan. I go to the cashier to buy my items and head home. 

The engine of my car turns on as I start to go get some boba tea for myself. After I went go do get my drink, I went home to chill for a bit and also clean up my place. While I was waiting until I had to get ready, I started to pack for New York and Japan.

 It was going to be a short trip anyway so I didn't really need much. Andrew said that I would fly back Monday night so I'm probably just going to walk around and have a cup of coffee and lunch before the flight takes off.  After I packed a few things, I took the time to book our tickets for Japan so that I could get that out of the way. I'm not gonna print it yet since I don't have the card so I'll do that when his birthday gets closer.

I decided to make myself a small lunch to take a break. I take a look at my fridge to see what I could make. I hear a knock on my door and I assume that it was Natalie since she always likes to come here a lot and come early. I just need to give her a spare key so she can just come in easily. She's always here anyways and just in case I need her to go inside my place, she can just get in. 

The door opens for me to see Jeff standing in the doorway. He was dressed in black shorts and the red hoodie I gave him. I smiled at the fact that he showed up in that and actually wore it the next day.

His face brightens up, " Hey! Can I come in? " 

" Oh uhm, sure! " I scratch the back of my head in confusion. I don't mind that he's here, it was just unexpected. I need to get used to the fact that he literally lives next door so he could come by anytime. Oh lord, what if we break up or something and I have to see him every time since he's my neighbor? Maybe living next door to a potential boyfriend isn't such a great idea. I mean, it's not like I knew we were going to get close and be together. 

He takes a seat on my couch and I take a seat on the long side. My tv was on so it made this feel not as awkward.

I rested my elbow on top on the couch and laid my head on knuckles, " So what's up? "

" I was just coming to see if you wanted to hang with me today. We could get a late lunch or eat some fro-yo. We could also go to the beach if you wanted. This is a chillax day for me and I wanted to get out of the house. " he crossed his legs in front of him. I internally get excited because he wanted to hang with me instead of taking the time to himself.

" Wow, you have great timing! I was just about to make myself some lunch. but I actually had plans today with Nat, Matt, and Zane. They're actually gonna be here around 6 to go to Disneyland. I was actually gonna invite you yesterday but you closed the door. " I lightly chuckle, shrugging.

" Oh! I am so sorry, you could've knocked. I literally wouldn't have minded "  he waves it off.

"Butttt I can do froyo though! I just have to be back before 6. Is that okay? " 

" Are you sure? I know you're gonna have to get ready soon, " he gets up and stands by the counter. 

" You're fine. I'm not doing anything extravagant. Did you want anything to drink or eat? " I offered, looking in the pantry to see what he would like.
