-- I deeply apologize for being so late. The date is literally so behind💀 But because of quarantine, I will be trying to update and get back on track. I hope y'all are staying safe and washing your hands! *Don't mind the dates anymore and I also realized how CRINGY the past chapters were, but my book is gonna be your disgusting love story. :)) Cheers

Love, Leilani --

Aspyn's POV

I already picked up Natalie's key for my apartment and gave it to her just so it's easier for both of us. The printer was just doing its thing in printing out the tickets for Japan. Can July 9th come any faster? I was so excited because I know Matt is gonna be thrilled to go since Zane did surprise him before but they were never able to go. My flight for New York is leaving in a couple of minutes and my nerves were flying everywhere. I was waiting for the gate to open so that we can go ahead and board. I looked up here and there to make sure I knew what my surroundings are.

I was so upset that I had to cancel my date with Jeff, I was looking forward to it. My stupid self forgot that I was going to be gone on the 'next Saturday'. I face-palmed so hard when I saw the reminder popped up to check my bags and made sure I had everything. I texted him last night sending my regrets.

My fingers typed away in sadness, "Hey! So I am never this forgetful but my flight for New York is tmr and that was supposed to be our date night. :( I am so sorry, it seriously slipped my mind when we were talking... Can we reschedule?"

The gray bubbles popped up and then disappeared. I sat there in shock. Of course, he's gonna leave me on read. How could he not? I canceled and now he's upset. Who am I to judge that he's upset though? Maybe he's like 'well thank God because I didn't even wanna go'? Did he forget maybe? I don't know which one hurts more. My phone dinged.

I immediately read his bubble, "I'll be here waiting then, no worries. Have fun and be safe :) "

My heart leaped at his response. I huffed out a relieved sigh and smiled. He was really good at just making me smile and wanting to faint. I left his message alone not wanting to embarrass myself even more. I went back to my closet to get more clothes to put in the suitcase.

We finally made it to the hotel and I was tired. I never knew I would be back in New York so soon. I planned on visiting home just to pop in and say hi. It was late though so I'll probably do it tomorrow. I felt like taking a walk around the block or two. I slept fine on the plane so I just wanted to get some fresh air. New York felt really good in June. The full moon was above me illuminating the whole city. Slight breeze drove past my the strands of my dark brown hair, lifting it up. The weather was so nice. It wasn't too hot or cold. My leggings kept my legs warm while the relaxed tee allowed the coolness to hit my torso.

Cass was with me so I wasn't alone. I knew better than to walk alone late at night. We stopped by a ramen place to fill our empty stomachs. I was ravenous. After we ate, I stopped by a store and grabbed a little souvenir to bring back to LA tomorrow. It was time to head back, it was about to hit midnight and I wanted to wake up early. I took a shower to freshen myself up and got my things ready for tomorrow.
