First Day of School & Bad Dreams

In the morning, I get ready for my first day of school. It felt great starting high school, and making new friends here. I ran downstairs, and to see breakfast already made. Jemma tells me "Hey Martrice, here's something to start off your day." "Thank you so much, where's Dan?" All of a sudden, I get scared from behind by him. I ended up whacking him in the face. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you" he says "No worries, here's your new cell phone with my number and Jemma's as well. Let's get you to school" We get in the car, and I get a text from Jemma. I reply back to her, and then I get dropped off at my new high school. It looked very nice, the structure and details of it. I didn't like the uniform though, skirts and sweaters are not my thing, but I have to deal with it anyways. I was making my way to homeroom, and I bump into this cute guy and end up falling on my face. He asks me "Are you okay, it was my fault." I tell him "That's alright, it was my mistake. My name is Martrice by the way." "I'm Hunter. Let's get to homeroom, we have it together." He says. I walk with him to class, and see how this guy will probably change my life.

During lunch, I run into Hunter once again. I ask him "Can I sit here?" "Sure, it's fine with me" he replied. He moves his backpack and laptop bag to let me sit down,and I see that he's watching my dad's videos on YouTube. I tell him "Hey, that's TheDiamondMinecart. I watch his videos too." "Really that's awesome, you know him?" He says. I tell him "Yeah, that's my dad. I can prove it." I showed him my I.D. saying "Martrice Hamilton - Middleton" I knew this guy was for me, and how we both watch my dad's videos. When I got home, I had started on my homework, but I had drifted off to sleep. I was back in time, in my mom and dad's car, all of a sudden a truck comes and crashes into it. When it came to its side, I see them dead. "Mommy! Daddy! Wake up please!" I wake up and scream in terror. Jemma asked me "Are you okay honey?" I say "Yeah, just had a bad dream" She gives me a hug, and I start to cry into her arms. Why are those bad memories coming back to me? I have to let them go, for real

Dan's POV

I heard Martrice crying, so I ran downstairs to see what happened. I asked Jemma "What happened? Is she okay?" "She told me that the nightmares about her mum and dad dying, and it's making her feel sad" she says to me. I did hear about that, and now i want to help in a good way. I tell her "You'll be fine my dear, just forget about that. You have me and Jemma now." I also give her a hug to make it better. Why are her nightmares getting a little bit personal? I'll find out soon.

Jemma's POV

I saw Dan hugging Martrice to comfort her, and I feel like he'll make her life a little bit better. I made him a cup of tea to ease his nerves, and gave Ellie some food so she can be a happy pug. After dinner, I ask Dan "Do you think our daughter is getting depressed?" "No, it's that her real parents death is getting into her head. Maybe the past is getting back at her, and we don't know why." We went to bed, and let the next day come.

Martrice's POV

In the morning, I see that Hunter texts me. It reads "Hope you're okay. I can drive you 2 school today" I reply back with "I'm doing okay, and yeah I'm fine with that. XOXO" I'm glad that he cares about me and my well-being. I'll tell Mom and Dad soon, I don't want them to worry. I ran down to the table to eat, but they're not even here. The note on there reads "Went to go get groceries. Be careful going to school. Mom and Dad :)" Oh okay, I grab a granola bar and some milk as my breakfast. I heard his car outside, so I grabbed my backpack and laptop bag, and locked the front door. My life is going to get better, thanks to my parents and Hunter
