Myself and Marshall sat closely, as he withdrew back from our kiss he took a little bit of my breath with him.
I gulped, he smirked, his hand still on my leg, I slipped my hand over his and interlinked my fingers with his, he now smiled and parted his lips, sighed then shook his head slightly,
"What?" My breath tinged with a little laugh,
"Nothing.. just... you" he wiped the corners of his mouth and patted my thigh, he looked nervous, just as he went to speak he stopped with the sound of the front door slamming which echoed from down the hallway,
"Marshall you in bro???" Nathan then came into the room bouncing a basketball, chewing gum with his earphones around his neck blasting out linkin park,
"Ay dummy, no ball in the house" Marshall scowled,
"Woah, Jodie? How are you?" He looked more than surprised to see me and came over for a hug,
"I'm great, you?" I smiled back,
"I'm good. I didn't expect you here, man why didn't you tell me?" He turned to Marshall who was looking out of the front window,
"Cause it ain't none of your dang business that's why " he turned around to us and leant against the window shelve,
"Whatever" Nate bounced the ball again,
"What'd I just tell you?"
"Sorry. Anyways I'm stoppin' at Natalie's again tonight, I've just come to pick some stuff up"
"Who's Natalie?" I asked,
"He's got some skirt, ain't you boy" he teased his brother,
"She ain't skirt, she's my girl" he defended,
"Somebody please help!" Em crouched pretending to be crushed,
"The thumb.. it's too.. the weight.. it's too strong" he held his hands up above his head laughing,"Yeah nice seeing you anyway Jodie" Nate blanked Marshall who was still laughing to himself,
"You too, I hope it works out for you"
"It will, I'm not scared to show a girl how I really feel about her, we communicate, I'm opposite to my brother" Marshall quickly stopped laughing,
"Man you're 16, you don't know your head from your fuckin' ass. And to add to that attitude you got goin' on right there.. talk like that again and ima bust you up the side of your head"
"What'd I say so wrong? You always went on about her so why'd you cut her loose? We loved having her around"
"Hold up, when you get to my age then get back to me on that, in the meantime go get your shit and take your advice wit' you" I felt so uncomfortable! Marshall wasn't impressed at all. Nathan took no notice, smiled at me and walked out,
"Sorry 'bout that" he turned off the tv,"Are you going somewhere?" I asked in response to his action,
"No, but we are" He walked out of the room and shouted after his brother, I stood up and pulled my dress down my thighs after sitting, I walked out and saw Marshall talking to Nathan on the staircase,
"Aight hurry up then" Em finished up their short conversation,
"You okay comin' with me to take him and his girlfriend somewhere?""You're being their personal taxi driver?" I was rather astounded by it, Em had his own driver, yet he wanted to give his brother and his girlfriend a lift?
"Yeah" he said casually as we walked towards the front of the house,
"Is there a problem?" He looked at me as he held open the door open,"Nope" I shrugged out the rest of my expression as I untied my little denim jacket from my waist to put on, it was getting a little chilly as the night was descending on us,
