"Do you wanna help?" Marshall stood in the living room doorway, tapping on the handle on the door,

"You want me to help put them to bed?" I smiled, and played with the cushion that was led on my stomach,

"Yeah" he shrugged,
"It'll help you get aquatinted with their bedtime routine" he waited for me to shift,

"You've got a point" I stood up,

"Don't I always" he rolled his eyes,
"Get!" He rushed me,

"I'm coming, I'm coming" I followed behind,

"First room" he wiggled his eyebrows at me and opened the door,
"Oh hold up, what do we got here?" He laughed as he went over to both Hailie and Alaina both in the same bed,

"Please can we have a sleepover?" Hailie asked,

"Well I don't know, I mean.."

"Ohh please daaaad" Hailie shook his arm as he grinned,

"I guess for tonight it's upto Jodie, so ask her" he looked at me as I sat on the edge of the bed, they both said please to me and I nodded,

"Of course" I grinned,

"Hey, say thank you" Marshall instructed, they both did so and then hugged me,

"Now come on girls" he grunted as he lifted the covers over and on top of them both,
"Good night my beautiful little ladies" he kissed them both on the head,

"Night daddy" they both said in sync, they honestly were the cutest little trio...

"Ain't you gonna say goodnight?" He whispered to me, I kind of felt awkward but it wasn't a bad awkward,

"Um okay" I whispered back and walked over to the head of the bed,

"Good night girls" I whispered to them both,

"Jodie?" Hailie brought her hands up for a hug, I smiled and leant down giving them both a big cuddle, it was the most warming feeling ever. I tucked the cover back around them and stepped away quietly, Marshall was stood in the doorway observing me. As I stepped out and onto the hallway Em flicked off their bedroom light and left the door slightly open,

"Thanks, for that" he spoke quietly as we walked to our bedroom,

"It made me a little nervous but it was fine" I told him the truth,

"You did great, but if it's too much for you just tell me" we stopped walking,

"Don't worry, I will" I stroked down his arm, his eyes followed my hand,

"I feel I'm coming on too strong, I gotta knack for pushing it all at once, sorry if.."

"Please, stop fretting. I'd tell you if it was too much, I knew you had a family before we got serious, nothing's changed"

"I know, but you know, you're young, I've just asked you to marry me and now I'm asking you to hold up the fort while I go out on shows, saying it out loud now it sounds kinda fucked up"

"Will you stop doubting me, I'm here now and I'm not going"

"Being with me is far from rose-fuckin'-fields and rainbows and you know that" he clenched his jaw and looked at me,
"Sooner or later you'll have enough, sometimes even I wish I could walk away from everything"

"You're being paranoid Marshall just stop it" I stroked his face, his eyes glared at me,
"You need to face facts that I'm not going to leave you unless you order me away"

"Yeah.." he sighed
"Yo I'm sorry" he opened his bedroom door,
"It's been a long fucking day"

"I know it has, just don't be going to sleep with all those thoughts running around in your head" I walked in after him, he walked over to his side table and began unclipping his bracelet,
