Chapter 10 - Kamikaze Mission.

~Damon's POV;~

It was early morning and I was spending it with Stefan, fun. I stood under the church ruins by the tomb door and said "Let's do this." Stefan and I grabbed the door and pushed it to the side to reveal the darkness of the tomb.

After a few moments Katherine stumbled to the boundary line, her clothes and skin dirty, her hair messy. I felt my lips form a smug grin as I saw how unhealthy and weak she looked. Katherine mumbled with a smirk "Please, come on in. There's plenty of room for all of us." I snapped with a bitter smile "I'd rather poke my eyes out." Katherine looked at me and teased "Hmm, but they are such pretty eyes."

Stefan rolled his eyes and said "We're here for the moonstone." I asked with a grin "Feel like tossing it over?" Katherine leaned against the wall and muttered "Tell you what, you get the little Witch to hocus pocus me out of here and you'll get whatever you want."

Stefan said with a bitter smile "I thought you liked it in here. Nice and safe where Klaus can't get to you." Katherine shrugged and snapped "I've had time to reconsider."

I teased with a smirk "Meaning you're hungry."

Katherine glanced at me and explained "I'm starving, Damon, and dirty, but above all, i'm bored-" She sighed and played with the fabric of her dress as she continued "Atleast running from Klaus was not boring."

She looked at us and gave her proposition "Here's the deal: You get me out of here, you get the moonstone and I'll disappear from Mystic Falls forever. Let me know what you decide." She lifted the moonstone and turned it over in her hand before turning on her heel and walking back into the darkness of the tomb.

I turned to Stefan and sighed, this was going to be a long day.

~Ally's POV;~

It was early morning and I had been up for hours now, thinking of how I could keep my best friends alive.

Then the idea came to me, the idea that could save my friends lives. I would go to Rose, even though I was pissed at her, and I would make a negotiation. If she could take me to Slater, who was apparently incredibly good at his job and had a lot of information on Klaus, then I would help her get a daylight ring. I knew if Slater had a connection to Klaus I was most definitely going to use it and get a message to him, somehow.

I got out of bed and ran a hand through my hair, I could tell it was going to be a long day.

Once I had my shower and got dressed into some purple skinny jeans, with my red tank top and my brown boots I searched the wardrobe for a jacket. I passed Damon's jacket and frowned, feeling my heart wrench at the sight of it. The scent of him still lingered on his leather jacket and stupidly, I missed it.

I shrugged my shoulders and put on his jacket before walking downstairs and to the kitchen for something to eat. I made myself some cereal and a cup of coffee as I sat down at the kitchen table, alone. When I went to drink some more of my coffee my phone began to buzz from my pocket. I pulled out my phone to see 1 new message from Elena, I opened it to read;

You should come over, Stefan and Damon are here, they have a plan x.

I sighed and shoved my phone back into my pocket before placing my bowl and mug in the sink, ready to leave for Elena's. I decided to hear Stefan's plan, even though I was not too excited to have to see Damon, but I would go there for Stefan and Elena.

I closed my front door behind me before walking down to Elena's house, and up the steps to her front door. I exhaled slowly then knocked twice, waiting for her to answer.
