Freshman Year

8-6|The First Day

Tuesday
Before School:
Today I woke up at 6:20 which is later than I wanted to. So I was trying to rush, but I still had an extra 15 minutes left before I had to leave.

I started by brushing my teeth and washing my face. Then I did my makeup and put on my outfit. Lastly, I did my hair. My parents then took pictures of me and my brother before we left for school. My sister goes to a different school and her school doesn't start until August 9. Which is weird since that's a Friday. Like 1 day of school?

I'm on my way to school right now and I'm really nervous. I'm so not ready to go back to school. I feel like summer just started and now it's already over.

After School:
I'm not sure how well this year is going to go.

Spanish- This class won't be bad as long as there aren't many tests. I've had this teacher before so I'm not going to understand Spanish very well. She's not very good at teaching. I also have two 8th graders in my class because my school just started allowing 8th graders to take some classes with high school. One of them is my friend's sister's boyfriend who I know because we were in a theatre play together and some girl I don't know. We have alphabetical seats. In class we wrote on a piece of paper our names, favorite food, and hobby. Then did a Spanish activity with it, not very fun. Then we filled out a paper about ourselves.
Honors English- This class probably won't be too hot. Lots of people say she's tough and don't like her. We also have assigned seats and I sit with a kid who thinks he's all that, a shy girl, and a new boy. Today we did an activity where we had to write our summer experience in 6 words.
World History- I think the teacher seems okay, but my sister told me that she gives out lots of pop quizzes. She also seems kinda strict.
Health- In my class there are only 7 people including me. Which is crazy. There are some quiet kids who are in a different grade than me in the corner, a loner in the back, two boys in my grade who are quiet, and then a sophomore girl who I was in cheer and the theatre play with in 7th grade. I ended up sitting with her. The teacher is really laid back though. I think the class will be good. Our assignment is to answer 30 questions about ourselves.
Honors Geometry- This teacher seems really nice. My sister told me that he doesn't teach very well and you have to learn on your own, but his tests are easy. Our assignment was to draw our family and tell their names and ages. Then on the back we had to make our own proverb.
Lunch- I sat with Chloe, Clara(a new girl), Olivia, Reagan, Ally, and Lana. There's only 1 hallway that leads to the lunchroom so I waited probably 5 minutes to get through it.
Face 2 Face- This class is basically homeroom and I think the teacher is easy going. My only friend in it is Zoey.
Biology- This class was hilarious. There are 2 sophomores in my class that have to retake the class and one of them the teacher is close with. The teacher and student kept cracking jokes about how you should make sure you do your work so you don't end up like him.
Choir- I've been in choir for going on 3 years now so it's not much different. I'm in girls choir so we are going to be doing SSA songs instead.

After school I felt super tired. I'm not ready to wake up so early for 5 days a week. I'm ready for Saturday already.

What stinks though is I don't know who's in my grade and who's not because they might be new. That's why I don't like having classes with other grades. It makes it confusing.

During 3rd period we got our iPads and when I opened mine it had a password. Which I took it off before last year, so I don't know why it was on there. I tried my passcode and it didn't work, so I went to the tech room and they had to wipe my iPad. I didn't get it back until halfway through 4th period and we had an assignment on the iPad, so I just said there doing nothing for awhile.

I didn't get lost today so that was good. I about need a layout of the school cause sometimes I'm just like where does that hallway go.

I really hope that my classes don't bite butt.
