Outfit:
Today I am wearing a white shirt with a gray/white striped dress over it, platform sandals, a gold choker with a circle pendant, a gold ring, and a white bracelet with gold beads. So the auditions for the school play are tomorrow and I'm not sure if I should go. Because I'm in cheer and we have games on Mondays and Fridays and then practice throughout the week. So I'm not sure if I want to add in 3 hours of play rehearsal every day of the week. Because I want to make sure that I do well in school and get my homework done and study for tests. I told myself that if I made cheer I wouldn't do the play, but if I didn't make cheer I would do the play. That way I'd have something to look forward to and not feel as sad if I didn't make cheer. Because this year they only were letting 14 girls on the squad instead of 18. But I still really wanna do the play.
I did the middle school plays in both 7th and 8th grade. And got larger roles which were really fun. But that also means lots of lines. Which I'd have to get memorized real quick. I think that in the high school play I would get a smaller role since I'm a freshman and the upper-classmen are really good actors. Which would be fine since it's fewer lines to learn, but I also really like acting. So I'm not sure if I should do the play or not because of time.
I'm excited for Friday because in Health class we are watching the "Magic School Bus" episode that deals with the digestive system. Then we also have a three day weekend after. On Saturday, there is a JV football game early in the morning. Then next week is homecoming and we are having dress up days. For Saturday's game there's only going to be 4 cheerleaders! (Usually we would have 6) It's going to be me, Mia, Grace, and Bella. Grace and Bella are both juniors.
And none of us are usually flyers (the girls up in the air). So I'm going to backspot and Grace is going to base. Then Mia and Bella are going to rotate between flying and basing. Bella flew back in 8th grade (3 years ago) and Mia has never flown. Mia and Bella are both close to my height. I'm 5 foot 6 ish.
I guess I never really explained how the cheer thing works, so here's how it goes.
This is the first year they are having a JV and a Varisty cheer team. There used to be only a Varsity team that had 18 cheerleaders. Then they would cheer at both away and home Varsity games. But then they decided to have there be two teams and only have 14 girls. (8 on Varsity and 6 on JV.) So Varsity cheers at away and home Varsity games. While JV cheers at home Varsity games and home JV games. Seniors are only allowed on Varsity so they only have one chance. Juniors-Freshman can be on both Varsity and JV.
Usually I'm in a stunt group with 3 Varsity girls, but for the JV only games I have a different group. We only have one actual flyer for JV, but she has a concussion (from soccer) so she can't cheer. So we have to make do.
So earlier I said that I should probably learn some of the cheers that I do stunts in instead of motions because I might get switched. Yeah... we're doing those cheers for the JV games and we all are going to do motions. So I have to make sure I get those down.
