Sunlight filtered through the ornate and impenetrable stained glass, casting a shimmery green and gold hue on my skin as I walked down the hallway with my fist wrapped around a dark, red coloured gown.

The hallway was eerily quiet as I stalked into a room where someone's voice was booming so loud that it attracted my attention. Frowning, I peaked into the closed door and my mouth hang wide open at what lies in front of me as it was brutally horrifying.

A person was writhing imploringly in front of a man standing in front of a throne that's made out of solid gold with jewels adorning the seat. A ghost of a grin flitted across his handsome face and I couldn't help but realised that he seems familiar— awfully familiar.

With midnight black hair that shine under the light of the chandelier, styled neatly on his head made my stomach pool with dread. Piercing silver eyes flashed in satisfaction as he watched the man groan in pain.

Dionysus.

A hard lump began to grow in my chest as I pressed my fingers harder onto the door as I watch blood started to pour out from the man's mouth. The man on the ground looked around his fifties, with salt and pepper hair and happy wrinkles around his face. His gaunt face contorted in pain and he finally let out an ear-piercing scream that rattled my bones.

" How dare you let that bastard get away!" Dionysus boomed, his dark cloak trailing after him as he descended down the stairs gracefully. On his head, a beautiful shiny gold grown perched on top, with expensive jewels that could feed the whole population.

" Do you know what you have done! When he gets away, he will alert those Dragon Kingdoms and we'll have no chance in winning!" Dionysus continued to growl and I watch as he flickered his hands, making the old man on the ground twist in an odd angle and letting out painful cries. My heart clenched at the sight before me and how I wish I could help, but i'm just a mere human.

" I need that Crystal Ball, I already have my own army of loyal demons. This is the reason why you humans are unworthy in my kingdom! You're not loyal, you're just dirty scums on earth!" He let out a nasty laugh and I felt the coldness he radiates.

He is truly a monster.

Dionysus lifted his palms and darkness crept from his fingertips, curling around the poor soul who was trembling and yelling in pain. His eyes held no emotion, blazing in rage as he squeezed his palms and the old man went limp and then turn into nothing but a pile of dust.
