" Thank you so much." Leila hugged me and I patted her awkwardly since I am not really a hugger. Tears were streaming down her face and she wiped it immediately, creating a red tint on her cheeks.

The two boys were out cold, slouching near the bin like dolls as we walked out of the cold alley. It wasn't dark but nobody in their right mind would enter the alley as it smells of trash.

" It's not a problem. I have to go now. Goodbye." I chirped and waltz past the crowd. I could hear her call out to me but I ignore it, if my parents knew what had happened, I would be grounded.

My fist were aching a little and my side started to hurt since one of the douche had landed a pretty good blow. Somehow I managed to whack them at where their neck is and they fell like a rag doll.

" There you are, Bella. Where have you been? It's dangerous here, come." Mother ushered me up Aphra and I hid my knuckles under the sleeve of my cloak.

" Do I want to know why you smell of trash?" Aphra snickered and I gently nudge her.

" Don't even think about it, Aphra." I growled and proceed to follow Kellan.

" Lucas was very worried when he didn't know where you went."

" I know, I feel guilty now." Grumbling, I absentmindedly pick on the dark brown reins.

" Don't do that again, if anything bad happened, Lucas won't be able to forgive himself." Aphra stated like a wise woman and I sighed deeply.

Aphra and Kellan knew both mother and father before I was born. They said I was a bundle of joy in their family and hence why they are so protective of me. Sometimes, when I question Aphra about why I looked nothing like my parents , she shrugged it off by saying I probably looked like one of their siblings.

And something about they way Aphra said it made me think twice.

" You do not have to bring a long any clothes, they said they will provide it for you." Mother smoothed my long, silver hair as it sprawled all over her lap. Her dark hazel eyes trained on father as he was busy sorting out the weapons he already owned.

" Mom, what if I don't make it in the trials?" My voice quiet, staring into empty space as I fiddle with my fingers.

" Arabella, you will make it. You were born to do great things and this is one of them. Don't ever doubt yourself." She said firmly, and my lips quiver as I think of all the bad outcomes.

" You know I love you and dad right?" My gaze snapped up, staring at mother's hazel eyes that were nothing like mine. Her dark brown hair scraped back into a tight bun and a scarf tied around her head to pull up the baby hairs.
