A homely, baked-earth smell rises from the ground as it is washed and cleansed by the dewy tears of rain. The sky was dark and vengeful and the wind whips up into frenzy, making my silver hair go in all sorts of direction. If it wasn't for the cloak that Koschei had placed on my numb frame, it would have felt as if I had just plunged into freezing cold water.

Koschei returned to the academy with the sole purpose of discussing with Sir Keran about the war. But unfortunately for him, he was caught up with the event that had happen just two days ago. With his presence, I couldn't help the feeling of disappointment that creeped up my spine when I realised that Chrysaor did not follow along with Koschei.

Of course he couldn't— he has a lot of important things to handle and much more burden is being laid on his shoulders. A mere girl like me- had no excuse for feeling that way.

" Hey," Koschei croaked, standing by my side with my arm pressed against his. After a minute of silent, he spoke again, " Chrysaor looked terrible." My whole body tense and my blood ran cold, but the unfamiliar tingling sensation that tickled my stomach made my heart lurch.

"Why?" Was the only thing I could manage through my tight throat.

" My- mate, Nereida, had a vision of you," He began and I knew where this was heading; he wanted me to tell him something that he didn't know.

" And, I asked Keran for permission for you to-" He paused and I looked up to the side of his face, waiting expectantly for him to finish his sentence. "- stay with us for the mean time."

A frown made its way up my face and I clenched my hand into a tight ball but my heart fluttered at the thought of seeing Chrysaor. Then the image of him with that girl had me gritting my teeth so hard I was surprise that my teeth stayed intact.

"Why must I stay in GoldDale?" I grimaced, fiddling with the ends of my long hair that fell in front of me over my shoulders and just below my waist.

Koschei grasp my frame and turned me gently so that I was facing him, " Chrysaor needs you." A scoff left my lips and I felt the familiar burn of tears in my eye socket.

" That doesn't makes sense Koschei. He has no feelings for me! He is only interested in breaking my heart . . or whatever his intention is," I choked on my words as I felt a lump in my throat, making it hard for me to speak.

" Bella, he's not very good at showing it but he does care and love you. You are his mate, Bella, and nothing can state otherwise," Koschei spoke softly and I pursed my lips as I felt the first roll of tears trickling down my cheeks.

" Well, he should have think before kissing that bitch," I muttered under my breath and he started coughing- more like choking on his own spit.
