Reasons *Part two*

6 months later

Over the past 6 months. Moti and I became extremely close. Something about him pulled me in and it was nice to have a male friend around. He even met Jessi and became close to her too.

*Knock Knock* You looked at Jessi and she smiled.

"Go open the door, your boyfriend is here" you rolled your eyes.

"Moti isn't my boyfriend" I walked over to my door and opened it, a nicely dressed Moti appeared. His expression changed from a smile to a shocked face after seeing my outfit.

"Well, you got very dressed up for a company party." I laughed. Of course I did, I'm extra. I looked down at my red high low dress and my red bottoms.

"What'd you expect, for me to look like a bum?" I said moving over so he can enter the apartment.

"Hey Moti!" Jessi loud self yelled.

"Hey Jessica" She smiled.

"He can call you Jessica but I can't?" I said to Jessi.

"He's cute, he has a pass." She looked at Moti and laughed.

"Anyways, let's get going." We all left my apartment getting into Jessi's car. Moti and I decided to sit in the back together.

"It's gonna be a long drive so y'all better get comfy." I scooted over to the middle seat and laid on Moti's shoulder.

"You know Y/n, you still haven't told me much about you. Of course I know your back story, I just feel like you left something out." My breath hitched.

"That's because there are parts of my life I'd like to not remember. How about we talk more about you, and this girlfriend you said you got." I felt him tense up.

"Umm, she's nice. It's just that she doesn't give me any space. When I say I'm with you she thinks I'm lying or gets jealous, and I don't like that." I laughed.

"Moti, maybe y'all need to learn how to trust each other, especially her." I got off his shoulder and looked at him.

We continued to talk about his relationship problems. Then we started talking about his exes, then we ended up on the subject of me and how I've never dated before. Of course he would be shocked.

"For a girl who has never been in a relationship, you surly know a lot about one." I laughed and looked at Jessi in the front.

"When you're friends with Jessi, you learn a whole lot about relationships" I saw her look at me in the mirror.

"I'm gonna pretend like I didn't hear you say that." She made a face and directed her eyes back at the road.

"We're here you lovebirds." Moti and I ignored it. We've both learned to tune out certain things that Jessi says.

Moti gets out first and leaves the door open for me to get out. I look over to Jessi and she hands the valet her keys.

"Crash my car, I'll crash your face." The young boy looked frightened and quickly got into the car, slowly driving away.

I grabbed our tickets out of my bag and handed Jessi and Moti's theirs.

We all walked into the building, we were all amazed as we looked around and looked at the chandelier hanging from the ceiling and the grand staircase leading up the stairs.

We gave the man our tickets and we proceeded up the stairs.

"They real fancy for a company meeting, something else must be going on." Jessi suspected. Truly, I agreed too, we've had company parties before but never at a place like this.

We walked into the grand room and we were amazed at how many people were there. Probably all branches of the company were there making it probably around 200 people.

We walked to a table in the very back and sat down.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of GoldCoast company, I'd like to announce a very important announcement. We have decided to partner with Fashion Nova." I was impressed. I knew they had a meeting I just didn't know they were going through with it.

"We wanted to become more mainstream and also sell different types of clothes, so Fashion Nova was a amazing partner to partner with. So I'd like to give a big thanks to Fashion Nova, sadly they couldn't be here today but work will be put into effect in one week which is next Monday." He bowed and left the stage.

"I'm going to go find the boss, I'll be back" Moti and Jessi nodded their heads as I walked away.

Walking around tables and crowds of people I still couldn't find our boss, so I decided to get me something to drink. I went over to the bar and asked for a Daiquiri.

As I was waiting, I felt a presence next to me. I looked to my left and saw a very well looking gentlemen.

"Hi you must be Y/n, I'm Lucas." I awkwardly smiled.

"How do you know me." I questioned, grabbing my drink from the bartender.

"I'm the head from another branch and your boss couldn't stop praising how well you work in the company. I admire women like you." I smiled until I felt him touch my arm. I tensed up a bit and I guess he could feel it because he apologized.

"Sorry, I'm just a naturally touchy person." I nodded my head, about to walk away from the situation when he pulled my wrist.

"I wasn't done talking." He walked a little closer and I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

"You're clearly not in the right mind so I'm leaving." I tried to pull my wrist away and he held it harder, hurting my wrist.

"I said I wasn't finish"

"You're hurting my wrist." He looked at me and then his eyes moved to someone who was behind me.

"Let her go" I turned around to see Moti standing behind me.

Lucas chuckled, I'm guessing taking Moti as a joke.

"Didn't I say let her go?" He walked from behind me up to Lucas. Lucas made a face and let my wrist go.

"I thought so" Moti says putting his arm around my shoulders and walking away.

"This is why I hate company parties, drunk dudes always tryna get something." Moti looked at me and laughed.

"These dudes here don't think with their brain." I laughed.

"Thanks for helping" He started rubbing my arm.

"No problem, I'll always help you." I looked up at his eyes and then down to his lips. I looked away quickly hoping he didn't notice.

"I'm going to go find Jessi." I said leaving his hold.

"Okay" I heard him say as I walked away. That situation with me and Moti has been happening non stop. I don't want to catch feelings for him, he's my best friend, and he's dating someone, I can't do that.

I couldn't even find Jessi, so I went into the bathroom to calm myself down. I walked in and someone else was in there. I really didn't care.

I went over to the sink and washed my hands. I looked in the mirror calming myself down.

"Are you Y/n?" I looked over to the girl who was standing the in bathroom. She was pretty, she had pretty pale skin, and a tight light pink dress on.

"Yes I am." She walked over to me and got in my face.

"I'm Moti's girlfriend, and I'm gonna need you to back off my man. Every time I try to hang out with him, he's with you, it's always you. So stay away from him." I looked down to her hands and she has a pocket knife.

"You've been a warned." She said walking out the bathroom. This day just keeps getting better and better.
