Stray Kids
Han Jisung
Today was the day, the day for Jisung to meet my parents, yikes. Sadly I'm still 22 living with my parents and I'm so ready to move out.
Both my parents were extremely over protective. My mother was a judge and my father was a firefighter. So I guess you could say I have a lot of protection around me.
I tried to hide my relationship from them but I guess I was leaving the house a little bit too much for them not to notice something was up.
They interrogated me until I told them I had a boyfriend. Neither of them were really excited to hear that, I'm their only child so they want me to stay young forever. My father decided to invite him over for dinner. I had no choice but to agree.
I heard the doorbell ring, I ran down the stairs getting to the door before my parents. I open the door and see Jisung.
"Hey baby" I go to give him a hug and I feel a hand on my shoulder pushing me back. I turn around and see my father.
"Good afternoon Mr. L/n" Jisung said confidently. Hopefully that confidence was still there after he leaves.
" Jisung right?" Jisung nodded his head. My father invited him in and then closed the door. Jisung walked up to me and whispered.
"He doesn't seem that bad Y/n" I mentally face palmed.
"Just wait and see" at that I went over to the dinner table and Jisung followed.
"Mama this is Jisung, my boyfriend." My mama turned around from the stove and looked at him. She looked him up and down.
"You have nice style young man. Anyways, Jisung help Y/n set up the table." I grabbed the plates and I give him the forks and knifes.
After we set the table up we sit next to each other at the dinner table, my father sitting across from us looking at Jisung suspiciously. Luckily my mama brings out the food and my father redirects his attention to that.
After eating my parents started the interrogation process. My father clears his throat then speaks.
"So Jisung, what are your intentions with my daughter?" Jisung answered quickly.
"Nothing more than to just make her happy, she deserves it." Jisung turned his head and smiled at me.
"Not to be rude, but what are you, ethnicity wise." Jisung again answered my father quickly.
"I'm korean, and it wasn't rude at all." My mother nodded her head.
"You got a job? And if you don't what are your life goals?" My mother asked.
"I actually do have a job. I work as a music producer and rapper at a studio downtown." My parents looked at each other then back at me and Jisung.
"Do you think that's gonna provide for both of you when you get older and have kids?" My father asked.
"Dad....." he gave me a hand gesture to tell me to shut up pretty much.
"I actually believe it will, I believe myself to be very talented and as long as I work hard enough and do what I got to do I will be able to provide for me and Y/n and even kids in the future." My dad let out a sarcastic laugh
"I personally think that rapping isn't going to be enough to make money. My daughter needs somebody who makes good money and does good for the world, like a-"
"Lawyer" my mother said as she finished his sentence.
"Yeah that, rapping and producing isn't good enough." Jisung shifted in his seat, I could tell he was getting annoyed.
"Sir and ma'am, with all due respect I don't think your comment was needed, I believe what I do is good enough for me. I all ready have enough money to buy my own house, so I'd like for you to not comment on something you don't know anything about. Again, all respect." My eyes widened and I face palmed, what did he just do.
"Like he said, I don't believe it's enough for you and my daughter both." My mother said.
"Well Mrs and Mr L/n, I'm sorry you don't believe that it's not enough but I know it is. I'm a very determined person and when I want to do something, I do it." I could tell Jisung was really getting annoyed. I leaned over and whispered to him.
"Baby calm down" my father looked at Jisung and them smirked.
"You know Jisung, you are the first young man to talk to me like that." My father got up from the table walking around to our side.
My heart started to pound, lord I hope he doesn't hit him.
"And I respect you for that. What you just did showed how much of a man you are, and you passed my test. Good job young man." My father shook his hand and patted him on his back.
"Thank you sir-"
"No just call me y/f/n" My mother smiled
"Well I guess you can call me y/m/n, congrats you made it past our test Jisung." I took a deep breath thanking the lord this went well.
