First Date: Since it was a special date Phil had gone out and bought a new suit and tie for the occasion. He realized you liked the look after about the fifth glance over he received from you. He said nothing about it, just simply grinned and remembered for future reference.
Picnic: Since it was more of a relaxed date Phil had decided to wear a t-shirt and jeans. When he showed up your door he wasn't expecting to hear "Wow. I thought you only looked that handsome in a suit." He grinned and chuckled as you blushed realizing that you had said your thoughts out loud.
Wedding Attire: Even though he was astounded by your beauty he could tell you found him to be rather handsome in his new suit.
USO Reenactment: Since you had worn a costume, Phil also wore one. He had found a replica of a suit that would have been worn by soldiers in the same time frame that the USO show was set in. He wore it to compliment your outfit and agreed to be your personal solider for the day. Several other men at the reenactment remarked how lucky he was, while the ladies complimented you and all agreed that you had found a charming looking solider.
