"Daniel, I need help too!" Zach Herron, the youngest, yelled across the hotel room where all five of the why don't we boys were getting dressed.
The five of them were putting on their suits and getting ready to go to the Billboard Music Awards for the first time. Unfortunately, some of the boys didn't know how to tie their bowties but luckily, Daniel Seavey did. The boys were also about to be late so Daniel quickly finished helping Zach and then rushed everyone into the limo that had been waiting outside for over twenty minutes.
"Woah, this limo is dope!" Corbyn Besson, another member of why don't we said as they climbed inside and finally left their hotel.
When the why don't we boys arrived at the red carpet and stepped out of their limo one by one, they were greeted with flashing cameras and swarming reporters behind the red, velvet ropes surrounding the celebrity carpet. The five boys had multiple of their pictures taken and did several interviews including one where they sang acapella.
Eventually, they went inside and found their seats which were especially up close to one of the main stages.
"Damn, we've got pretty good seats. We'll get to see everything up close," Jack Avery, the why don't we member known most for his curly hair said.
"I'm so excited! This is going to be a fun night boys," Jonah Marais, the oldest member of why don't we exclaimed.
Daniel looked around room, there were big, bright spotlights moving around that temporarily blinded him every time he accidentally looked straight at one, and people everywhere, some he recognized and some he did not.
One of the people he did not recognize was a stunning blonde he noticed peeping from behind one of the stage's curtains. Daniel was intrigued by the girl and watched as she scanned the venue and nervously took a deep breath before pulling her head backstage again.
Although Daniel saw her for less than a minute, he hoped to see more of her soon. If she was backstage, surely the girl who had mesmerized Daniel was a presenter.
Throughout the show, Daniel enjoyed himself. He watched many of his favorite performers on stage and had a great time. Though deep down, he was waiting for the girl to go onstage so he could see her again.
During a commercial break, Daniel and his friends were talking about the last performance and how amazing it was. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a younger boy and the girl he had hoped to see again walk onstage.
The blue eyed boy immediately turned his attention onto her but played it off as though he was just paying attention to the show because it was about to begin again. Both of his eyes, they were fixing on her. The blonde was wearing a black pants and skirt combo featuring a silver sequin top, along with black peep-toe heels and silver hoop earrings, and her hair was styled into waves. As Daniel took in her stunning appearance, he also found himself immersed with her soft, beautiful sounding voice as she talked.
Too soon, the girl walked offstage and Daniel's thoughts were interrupted by the loud music of Panic! at the Disco's performance. He tried to put the thoughts of the girl in the back of his mind but he just couldn't.
That night, Daniel couldn't sleep. His mind kept him awake. It was two in the morning and Daniel internally fought the urge to go on his phone.
Losing the battle, Daniel unplugged his phone from his bedside table and went full stalker mode, desperate to find the girl that kept him awake. He convinced himself that maybe if he found her, he would be able to fall asleep.
Daniel opened up a new web page and searched up "bbma 2019 presenters." Clicking on the first link that came up, he looked at a list of presenters but it didn't help. So the boy went back and searched "presenting panic! at the disco at bbma 2019" which definitely narrowed the search down. The search resulted in several video links.
Daniel grinned as he saw the thumbnails of the videos. There she was, the girl that had been keeping him awake. He scrolled down the page until he found a name in the title of one of the videos, "Talia Layhton and Asher Angel Present Panic! At The Disco."
Talia Layhton. He found her. Crazy how easy it was because of the internet.
Needless to say, Daniel did not fall asleep that night until after he stalked Talia. The boy was hooked, he spent an hour stalking her instagram, he laughed at her jokes and the stories she shared in her interviews, and he bopped along to her songs.
Daniel had just found his new celeb crush.
