"Two minutes away" Daniel read the text off his phone.
"Okay, meet you outside" Daniel typed as he rose up from the couch he was sitting on.
"Listen up," Daniel said loudly, catching the attention of his friends who turned away from their own conversations to look up at Daniel.
"Talia and Claire are coming. Please don't embarrass me," Daniel pleaded.
The rest of his friends laughed and nodded.
"Go get your girl, Dani!" Jack shouted as Daniel started walking away from the group.
The brunet maneuvered his way through the crowded room until he reached the door. Swinging the front door open, a breeze of fresh air hit him as Daniel walked outside to wait for Talia and Claire to arrive.
Less than a minute later, a car stopped in front of the house and back doors opened. A blonde girl who Daniel recognized as Claire from Talia's instagram hopped out first, followed by Talia.
Claire beamed at the sight of her best friend's crush and immediately went up to Daniel to introduce herself, "Hi! I'm Claire."
"Daniel. Nice to finally meet you," Daniel smiled.
Claire turned back to Talia, who had just finished paying the uber driver, and asked, "Meet you inside?"
Talia nodded at her best friend before turning to greet Daniel with a hug.
"Did you get taller?" Daniel chuckled.
"I wish! It's just the high heel boots," Talia said as the two walked inside.
The blonde grinned when Daniel grabbed her hand gently and led her through the crowd. She loved the feeling of his touch. His hands were somehow warm despite the chilly night, but she could tell he was still hesitant.
Talia's smile got even bigger when Daniel didn't let go of her hand once they reached the spot in the house his friends had taken over.
Talia waved to the group as Daniel officially introduced her, "Everyone, meet Talia."
"Nice to meet you all," Talia smiled, looking around at the group. She recognized Daniel's bandmates, but there was four other girls who she didn't know.
Still hand in hand, Daniel tugged her gently towards the empty, leather love seat. After they both sat down, everyone began introducing themselves.
The music blasting made it a bit hard to hear but Talia managed to hear everyone's names. The four girls she didn't know introduced themselves as Christina, Gabbie, Tate, and Kay.
