Chapter 3 Youre the reason i do this

DANIELLE POV

Another day of hell. Thank god it was the last day of school and I'm excited to know that I won't have to see Niall anymore unless he passes my house. I got ready, carefully bandaged my cuts from last night and went down stairs to see that dad wasn't down there. I didn't eat because food was unappetizing so I grabbed a water. I walked outside to go to the grocery store so I could grab food to cook for dad and bumped into someone. I looked up and saw them standing in front of me

'Damn I thought I was off the hook today.' I heard laughing and I realized I said it out loud.

"You're never off the hook bitch" I heard Niall say. Man I need to quit talking out loud.

"You shouldn't talk to yourself it looks mental" Zayn said.

"Zayn shut up and help" said Niall. Louis Harry and Liam never really say anything to me unless they feel like it but it's normally insults anyways. I was snapped out of my thoughts by a sudden pain in my stomach after the beating they walked away laughing.

I was about to do something I've never had the courage to do but I needed to let it out. I yelled at them as they walked away from me.

"What did I ever do to you Niall? I used to be your best friend! What happened to that because I sure don't know! I wanted you to know that I fucking hate you and you're the reason I cut myself! I quit eating because you call me fat! I want to kill myself every day because of you and my alcoholic father who raped me!

I whispered the last part and started to sob because I realized what I had just told my bullies. They all turned around with shocked faces except Niall who had a mixture of hurt, guilt, and love? Does he feel the same way? No of course not, he would never love me. I was snapped out of my thoughts by a hand on my cheek. It was not abusive touch but I flinched anyway. I looked up and saw those blue ocean eyes filled with concern?

"I made you do all that?" Niall said his voice cracking. I just nodded my head, still crying.

"Why do you care that's what I deserved right?" I said through gritted teeth.

"No, Danielle I'm so sorry I didn't mean for this to happen." I couldn't hold my anger in 'didn't mean for it to happen?' I slapped his hand away.

"What the hell does that mean Niall? I did nothing to deserve this!"

"You told my fucking secret Danielle! I trusted you and you told everyone!" he said flailing his arms around.

I was very confused because I would never tell his secret. He seen my confused face and he calmed down.

"Niall what do you mean I never told your secret I would never do that to you." I said with tears in my eyes he looked at me confused

"Danielle Linsey told me you spread it around school and you were the only one I told." Linsey. Fucking Linsey.

"Oh my fucking god Linsey told you that!" He nodded very confused and the other boys just looked at each other. We sat on the edge of the sidewalk to talk about all this because this was ridiculous.

"Niall after I walked out of the boy's bathroom where you insisted on telling me your secret, which was disgusting" I laughed and he smiled remembering back.

"I saw Linsey with a smile on her face and her boyfriend came out of the bathroom. Niall she must have told everyone because I would never tell your secrets because you were my best friend."

He looked at me with guilt "Danielle, I'm so sorry and what did you mean by abusive father?" he asked.

I looked at the ground biting my lip avoiding his gaze I felt my chin being lifted up.

"Please tell me" I bet the boys feel awkward but I looked at them and they were giving me sad looks.

I turned back to Niall and said "My-my D-dad A-abuses me" I said stuttering. 'God I need to stop that.'

Niall looked angry and I flinched out of habit, which caused him to soften. "Danielle what was the last part that you whispered about father?"

"He r-raped me Niall!" I said sobbing and he pulled me into a hug followed by the other boys.

Pulling away from the hug they all looked at me with guilty smiles and they had tears on their faces.

"Danielle we are so sorry but you have to stop cutting and start eating and I want us to start over again. I want to be the person you can come to for anything just please give me another chance?" they all looked at me with puppy dog eyes so I nodded and smiled at them. I got pulled into another group hug when we pulled apart I told them I had to go and they nodded hesitantly. I started walking away until I felt someone behind me. I turned around and seen Niall.

"Niall? What are you doing?" I said confused.

"I'm going to walk you home." he said smiling I smiled back.

"Well I'm going to get food to cook real fast." He nodded and then on the way he broke the silence we had going on

"Danielle, I am really sorry. You shouldn't forgive me I really screwed up didn't I? I didn't mean for that to happen I was just mad I thought you told and I loved you I figured-"

"I stopped him with a hand over his mouth and said looking into his eyes, you love me?"

His eyes went wide and I blushed. I took my hand off his mouth and he just nodded.

"I love you too Niall." I said smiling and his whole face lit up.

"But you really hurt me so you'll have to give me time." He nodded with his hands in his pockets.

"Ok, I'll wait as long as I need to. At least your giving me a chance." after that we had another comfortable silence until we got back home and after our good byes he left then ran back again

"Can I have your number, I mean in case you need something you know-." I cut him off.

"Yes Niall, here" he said good bye again and he left.

When he was gone I walked in my house and my father stood with an angry expression.

"That's where you've been all day! Hanging with a boy! You're such a slut!" He pulled me upstairs to my room and threw me on my bed and started ripping my clothes off. I was crying and as he was taking his pants off my bedroom door opened and there stood Niall. His jaw and fists clenched but I couldn't figure out why he was here.

I felt my father's weight being pulled off me and I see Niall punch my father unconscious. He looked at me and softened.

"Danielle you're going to stay with me. I'm not letting you stay here." He got my clothes and everything I owned, which wasn't much , took it to his house and then came back to pick me up bridle style and soon I was laying on his bed and fell asleep.
