I haven't seen Shawn since yesterday. For some reason he hasn't made an appearance all morning. Apart of me is getting worried. He seemed fine yesterday morning until he left abruptly. I keep having to remind myself he's okay. It's not like he could get into trouble or get hurt, he's a ghost.

I hear my phone vibrate on my bed. It's a text from Jace. "Be ready in 20 minutes," It reads.

"Ok got it." I reply. I get off my bed and go get my bikini.

Once I change I grab a bag and put in sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and extra hair ties. Then I put on my cropped Adidas t-shirt and some jean shorts that wear ripped at the end.

Once I'm ready, I head downstairs with my beach bag in hand. My Mom and Sammy are sitting on the couch together. My Mom is watching The Chew and Sammy is on his phone, most likely scrolling through Tiktok. "Hey guys." I say leaning on the door frame.

"Ready for your date?" Sam smirks, not even looking up from his phone.

"Wow, you're so funny." I say, sarcastically. "And plus it's not a date. We're just going to hang out." Which is a total lie, I just don't want to be teased.

"Sure." My mom says.

"You guys are terrible." I hate talking about relationships with them. They always joke around and it's a bit annoying. Thankfully, my phone goes off with a text from Jace saying he's outside.

"Okay, bye guys." I smile and walk to the door as I hear my mom and Sam yell bye.

Jaces whit jeep is parked on the curb. He has all the windows down and yells "You ready!" I smile and get in the passenger seat.

"Hey!" I buckle my seat belt. I notice Jace wearing black swim trunks and a white tank top.

He hands me the AUX cord and gives me a serious look. "You can only play good music, got it?"

I nod. "Yes, sir." I grab the cord from his hand and plug it into my phone while he starts the car.

"Okay here we go." I start scrolling through my millions of playlists. "Do you like John Mayer?" I ask, smiling.

"Of course, he's a legend."

"Okay good." I laugh.

We get to the beach and I notice that there's only a view people here. It's around 75 degrees which is pretty warm for Oregon, so I don't know why there is basically no one here. I would say its a nice day, the sun is even out. I guess I'm just used to Miami beaches that are flooded with people. "Where is everyone?" I ask as we step onto the dry sand. I looked at the only people who were here a couple with a little kid who looked about two.

"This is Oregon not Florida. Going to the beach isn't a very popular thing to do here but I thought you should have the experience." He joked before looking at me. "Plus I thought it could be a bit romantic." I looked at him and smiled.

We put our towels on the sand along with our bags. Jace took off his shirt. I trie not to stare but he has abs, which I wasn't expecting. He squats down putting his shirt in his bag while I take off my shorts and crop top. He stands up and looks at me. "Wow." He says under his breath.

"What?" I giggle, nervously.

"You're just really pretty." He shrugs. I give him a big smile. "So you ready?" I nod and he sprints to the water. Once he gets deep enough he dives in. His head pops out of the water and his hair flops in his face. "Come on the water feels nice."

"Well, I wasn't ready for that!" I laugh and I start sprinting and dive in, just like Jace did. The water did feel nice I was expecting it to be really cold, but it wasn't. I stand up right in front of him. Our faces are less than a foot apart, it was a bit awkward for a second.
