I put on my outfit for the party and curl my hair.

School has been better since the first day I've main a few friends so I'm not too lonely.

Me and Jace have kind of been in this weird phase, he's different now that we are in school. In the summer he was romantic and kind but now he's sort of acting like he doesn't care about me as much.

But me and Shawn have been doing great! Things are back to normal! Well I can't stay up as late anymore but they are basically back to normal. "Hey Jo." I turn around and see Shawn behind me.

"Hey Mendes." I giggle.

"Are you ready for your first high school party?" He asks smirking.

"I am." I smile. "Is what I'm wearing okay?" I pose showing him my outfit.

He nods, "you look p-perfect." He says scratching the back of his neck. I could tell he wanted to say more than that but it would be inappropriate if he did.

I grab my purse and my phone from my nightstand. "Well I should go." I say putting my purse on my shoulder.

I start walking to my bedroom door. Shawn stops me and puts his finger up. "Don't be out to late, no drinking and driving, and no drugs." I smile up at him.

"Okay dad." I laugh and start walking again to the door.

"Wait Gracie." I turn back around to him.

"What?" I say annoyed.

"Be the life of the party for me." He smirks.

"You're so weird." I laugh and shake my head before leaving. He's just a big dork.

I hop in Jace's Jeep and set my purse down. "Hey." I say smiling.

"Hey, are you ready?" He asks not even looking at me.

"Um, yeah I'm ready." What's up with him? He's been such a dick recently.

We park a few blocks away from the party because it was so packed.

We walk in silence to Masons house. It's so awkward. I don't know what's gotten into him. "Are you okay?" I ask.

Jace looks up from watch his feet and looks a me. "Yeah I'm fine, just tired that's all." He shrugs.

"Ok well if you want we can go do something else if you're to tired to party." I suggest.

"What? No it's fine." He looks back at the ground. He's really not giving me anything. What is wrong with him? "Can you put my keys in your purse? I don't want to lose them." He asks handing me his key chain, with all of his keys on it.

"Um sure." I take the keys and put them into my purse.

When we get into the party I realize how fancy Masons house is. It's so modern and looks like the house in Twilight just not as cool and isolated.

We walk past Hannah and Mason fighting. They are already really drunk and it's only 9 pm.

Jace puts his arm around my waist. "Let's go get a drink." He suggests.

Jace makes himself a drink and then I do. I catch him staring at mason and Hannah still fighting. "What now?" I ask trying to distract him from looking at the couple.

"Um I don't know." He looks out the window to the back yard. "Want to play beer pong?"

I nod and we walk outside. I've never played beer pong but I'm guessing it's kind of like cup pong on iMessage.

*Later*

I sit on the couch alone next to a couple making out. I have zero idea where Jace is. He said he was going to get me a drink like 20 minutes ago, but never came back. Honestly I'm tired of his fucking bullshit. I just want to forget about how he's been so distant and hasn't been caring about me.
