I sit up and turn so my body is facing Shawn. "Hey, Mendes," I say licking my lips. I didn't want to show it but I am really excited to see Shawn.
He stood up and walked in front of me. "So what do you want to talk about?" Shawn wasn't as happy as he usually is. There was just a tenseness in the air.
"I just want us to be okay again, I want to go back to summer, and I want you to distract me from the terrible day I've had." I sigh and look at the ground. I start to think about how things used to be. I and Shawn would talk about ridiculous things, we would watch Shane Dawson, and it wouldn't be so awkward between us. "Do you hate me?" Saying the word hate made me cringe.
"What no." Shawn lightly chuckles. He puts his cold finger under my chin and lifts my head up. He looks into my hazel eyes, "I could never hate you, Jo." He gives me a sincere smirk.
Without thinking I jump into his arms. For a second Shawn is shocked, but then he squeezes me tight.
"I missed you." I squeeze him tight too, I could feel his muscles through his shirt. "Don't ever ditch me again, no matter the circumstance," I say sternly.
I break the hug and step back. "So what did you want to tell me?" He says scratching the back of his neck.
I climb onto my bed and sit criss-cross, then pat the bed for Shawn to sit down too. "There's a lot," I say smiling.
I'm so glad me and Shawn made up. He makes me feel so much better. I never want to lose him.
I tell Shawn all about Marshfield high. I told him about Jake, Mason, and Hannah. He even told me about his time there, I always forget he's older.
After I vent I feel 10 times better. "Wow," Shawn says smiling. "So are you going to go to that guy's party?" He asks.
"I'm not sure I've never been to a high school party, but I guess if Jace goes I'll go." Shawn jaw drops.
"You've never been to a party?" He laughs.
"No, I've told you I didn't have that many friends in Miami. I didn't hang around with people who usually partied." I defend myself.
"Well, then you have to go!"
"I don't really know if it's my seen though, and I wouldn't even know what to do."
"You just enjoy yourself, I don't know." He laughs. Shawns laugh is so beautiful it makes me get the butterflies.
A/N just Incase you forgot how amazing my muffins laugh is ;)
"So, I guess you and Sammy are getting along?" I ask trying to make conversation.
"Yeah, he's actually a cool kid when you're not secretly watching and judging him." He smiles.
I laugh and fall back on to the pillows of my bed. "I'm so dead from school," I say closing my eyes.
"No you're not, I'm the dead one, not you." He smirks and lays down next to me.
"I know I keep saying this Mendes, but I really did miss talking to you. I was so bored the past three days."
"I know I've been watching you." He winks.
I push him back and laugh. "You're such a creep."
"I know!" He yells and sits up. I wasn't expecting this but he starts to tickle me. I can't help but laugh I'm extremely ticklish.
"Shawn!" I yell but not too loud. "St-stop!" I can hardly talk from him tickling me. He won't stop, he just keeps laughing. "This isn't fair!" I yell.
After a few minutes, he stops and I catch my breath, laying down on my bed. "I hate you," I whisper, smiling.
"No, you don't." He winks again.
"Yes, I do!" I can't help but laugh more.
"You can't just tell me how much you miss me and then tell me you hate me!" He pouts.
"Yes I can, I just did it."
He tackles me again and starts tickling me even more.
