Shadow was learning that she wasn't a fan of hot weather. When T'Challa offered to take them to his home to recover and to also hide Bucky Shadow was excited. Once the jet landed, she wobbled off the ramp, the heat was the first thing that almost made her dry up and crumble like a sponge. Bucky chuckled at his friend, seeing her reaction to the different climate that she wasn't ever exposed to, it was humorous. "Come one Shadow, it's not that bad." Bucky teased as Steve helped him out of the jet. Shadow looked to Bucky wobbling around to face him, "Bucky do you not feel this heat. I think the cat is trying to kill us slowly." Shadow whispered to Bucky. Steve and Bucky chuckled at her, "Trust me Shadow, i'm not going to hurt you. You'll get use to the weather in no time." T'Challa said as he walked passed them. Shadow still wasn't convince, "Let's go while he's away." Shadow said to Steve and Bucky, hobbling back on the ramp. Bucky grab her arm, "Come on silly." Bucky said dragging Shadow into the lab where they can get medical help.

Shadow was empress with the technology that T'Challa home have, this was nothing compare to what she seen at Hydra. T'Challa little sister took care of their wounds with the help of technology, Shadow was feeling 100% in less then 30 minutes of arriving in Wakanda. "Wow, this is amazing!" Shadow said, feeling happy to not feel pain anymore. "I'm glad you're feeling better." One of the nurses said with a smile. Shadow jumped off the table, "Thank you." Shadow said, "You are very welcome." The nurse said walking out of the room to another patient. "Hey, glad to see you're doing better." Steve said from the hallway as Shadow walked out. "Yea. Tony better hope I never see his face again." Shadow mumbled to herself. Steve smiled at the woman, "Thank you for not killing him. You really have changed." Steve said. Shadow looked to him then looked forward, "I'm still not your friend. Don't get mushy on me." Shadow said as they passed many hallways to search for the room Bucky was in. Steve chuckled, "Of course." Shadow and Steve spotted Bucky sitting down as the nurses and doctors was around him checking his vitals.

"What's going on? Are you badly hurt?" Shadow asked seeing the doctors with his data plastered on their screens. Bucky smiled sadly at Shadow, "Yes i'm fine. Shadow, Steve. I've decided to go back under." Bucky told them. Steve looked to his friend with a surprise look, "Are you sure about this Buck?" Steve asked crossing his arms, Bucky nod to his friend, "Yes, Shuri said she can work on getting these words out of my head. I don't even trust myself anymore." Bucky said he then looked to Shadow who was still staring at him, "Shadow, i'll be ok. I want this, I need this. I don't want these words to control me anymore." Bucky explained. Shadow let out a sigh then nod her head, "I understand Bucky." Shadow mumbled looking down at her shoes, Bucky smiled at her holding out his arm, "Come here." Bucky said. Shadow went into the hug without hesitation, clinging to Bucky tightly. "You better come back out. No later then five years ok." Shadow mumbled into his shoulder. Bucky chuckled at her, "Ok i'll tell them five years tops." Bucky answered pulling away from the hug, him and Steve shared their own hug. "I'm happy for you Buck. Get better, i'll be here when you wake up." Steve said pulling away. Bucky nod his head to his friends. "I'm going to hold you both to that." Bucky said as he slipped off the table.

Shadow watched as the medical team prepped Bucky to be frozen. Steve stood beside her watching with her, "He's going to be ok. He's in the best hands possible, if anyone can cure him Shuri can." Steve reassured Shadow. Shadow looked to Steve then looked back at Bucky, "I know. I'm happy that, this time he's going in because HE want's to." Shadow said. Steve agreed with her, it still hurt him to see his friend go under, but Steve knew it was Bucky choice, he supported him with this decision. Shadow walked over to Bucky before the closed the container, "Don't forget about me." Shadow whispered to him, Bucky smiled at her, "I won't. When i'm out i'll truly be free from Hydra. Then i'll take you out to see the world like we planned" Bucky said with a smile at her. Shadow nod her head, "Until next time." Shadow held out her hand. Bucky laugh lightly remembering that when she was leaving Hydra he did the same thing to her. "Until next time." Bucky said clamping his hands with hers with a promise that they will see each other again.
