                                                                            5 months later

Madison stood in front of the full length mirror in her bridal suite. She never thought this moment would come. It had been a long time coming since the days as children to the complicated times as adults. "You look beautiful" Heather said adding the veil to Madison's curly updo. "Thank you" she said smiling at her best friend. "I'm glad you two finally ended up together" Heather said. "Me too" Madison said. About that time Kale, Shanon and Tammy walked in with Madison's mom. "Madison you look gorgeous" Shanon said. "Thank you" she said. Kale walked over to Madison and handed her a bag. "This is from Kasey" he said. Madison opened the bag and inside was a small box. She opened it up to find a gorgeous pair of diamond chandelier earrings. Tears formed in her eyes as she put them on. There was a knock at the door. "Madison, are you ready?" the wedding planner asked. "I've been ready" she said. She gathered her flowers as she and Heather made their way out to the ceremony. As the music began to play, Madison watched as Kasey's nieces and nephew walked down the aisle and then the mom's and then it was Heather. Her song began to play and she walked down the path to the lake where Kasey stood. He lit up when he saw her and he began to cry. When she got to him she handed her flowers to Heather and turned to face Kasey. The minister began to speak and Kasey grabbed her hand. They uttered the words she had waited 20 years to hear. "I love you" Kasey said as he kissed the bride. "I now present for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Kasey Kahne" the minister spoke. Madison and Kasey walked up the aisle into their new life.

A very tired Madison sat on the airplane as she and Kasey embarked on their honeymoon. It had been a long time coming and since Kasey had won the championship last year, it had been crazy the past few months. As she sat in her seat she couldn't help but think of how everything had just come together. A little over a year ago her job had lead her right back into the arms of someone she had loved forever and had changed everything. About that time something hit her like a ton of bricks. She rushed to the bathroom on the jet and got sick. She heard Kasey outside the door. "Baby, are you ok?" he asked gently. "I'm fine" she muttered from the other side of the door. She cleaned herself up and walked back to her seat. Maybe it had been all the stress and such she had been under lately, but something didn't seem right. Madison and Kasey arrived in the Dominican Republic a couple hours later. "Are you ready to start our honeymoon?" he asked helping her off the plane. "Yep" she said mustering a smile. They were whisked away to the resort and Madison couldn't wait until they got to their room. "Ah Mr. Kahne, your room is ready" the man at the desk said. Kasey and Madison were taken through some long outdoor hallways and to their penthouse suite. "Congratulations" the gentleman said as he set their bags down and walked away. As Kasey went to check out the roof top view, Madison went digging through her bag. She pulled out a pregnancy test she had bought last week in the off chance she may be pregnant. She went to the bathroom and took it. It felt like an eternity and then she saw the two little pink lines. Tears began to form in her eyes knowing that this baby was theirs and that everything does happen for a reason. She opened the bathroom door and went to join Kasey on the roof. "Is everything ok?" he asked noticing her tear stained face. "Everything is fine" she said with a smile. "I won't be able to drink this week" she said. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Kasey, we're pregnant," she said. "Really?!?" he asked as tears began to form in his eyes. "Yes, here's the test" she said pulling out the pregnancy test. "Madison" he said taking her in his arms and kissing her. "It's our baby Kasey" she said sobbing. Kasey realized that this is the moment she had wanted all those years ago. Kasey and Madison were lying in one of the beach cabanas as the ocean crashing against the shore. Kasey looked down at his beautiful wife and rubbed her non-existent belly. "I love you Maddie" he said. "I love you" she said. They spent the week enjoying their long awaited honeymoon and returned to the states the following weekend to tell their families about the baby. On their way home from the airport, Kasey called his brother and sister and told them the happy news as Madison called her parents and Heather. "OMG I can't believe it!" she squealed into the phone.

6 Months Later

The National Anthem played and the sun was shining bright, reflecting off the pavement. Madison stood on pit road in Daytona with Kasey. As she stood beside him, Kasey held their daughter Sawyer in his arms. When the flyover completed, Kasey kissed the little girl and handed her to Madison as he kissed her. "I love you Madison" he said as he got into the car. "I love you Kasey."

A couple of months later on an off weekend, Kasey and Madison went home to Enumclaw to see their families. With Sawyer in toe, they made their way down to the lake where it all began nearly 20 years ago and the journey it was here.
