Aga's POV
Lea has been quiet since we went home from the hospital. God knows how much I begged before she agreed to go home. She barely ate and she's not yet asleep. She's just staring at the space. I don't want her to be like this. I hug her from the back.
"Babes." She caressed my hands as a response. That means she's okay.
"What are you thinking?"
"Did I become stone-hearted, Aga?"
"No." I answer and hug her tighter.
"Then, how did I even resist Dawn and Gabby for five years?"
"You were hurt, babes. Bigtime. And they understand that. That's why they still love you until now." She sighs.
I think she's guilty for what happened to Dawn. Partly, I'm thankful because she now seems to be enlightened. After her talk with Gabby earlier, she looked eased.
"Would it be unfair to Claire if I forgive them, babes? Do you think she would understand if I will fix what's between me and the Gomez's?" I make her face me and cup her face.
"Our daughter, would be happy with that babes. You know how much she loved the Gomez's, specially Gabby. Claire would be very happy to see you finally move on and see you happy again."
"Why did Dawn have to go through this before I realize how wrong I am?"
"Everything happens for a reason, babes." She nods. I kiss her head to give her comfort.
"Can we now sleep? It's late. We're going to visit Dawn in the hospital this morning."
"Okay. Thank you, babes."
Gab's POV
"Where's your Dad?" It's Justine. My cousin. He was Mom's donor.
"He went home to get some food for us." He just nods.
"Good thing you changed your clothes now. You were like a crying zombie yesterday."
"A beautiful crying zombie."
"Where did you get that guts?"
"I can't even believe that's comin' from you." He chuckles and seat beside me then he taps my head.
"That amnesia sharpened your tongue, couz. Haha." I smile at him.
Since we got back here in the Philippines, Justine and I have became close cousins. He's like an older brother to me. In fact, sometimes, he insists to fetch me from work. Just like Dad. Overprotective.
"Thanks, couz. I do not know how to thank you enough for saving my mom."
"Naks! Ang drama naman neto." He clings his hand on my shoulder.
"I didn't save her, 'kay? I just barely gave her blood ----"
"Which she needs to live."
"No. She fought for her life because of you. She loves you and Tito Chard. She lives because of you. You were the one who saved her." I smirk at him. I never expected those words coming from his bully mouth. Haha.
"Now, who's dramatic?"
"Hahaha. We both are." I suddenly saw mom's hand moving a little. She opened her eyes which took me by surprise.
"Mom!" I excitedly call her.
"Mom, can you hear me? How are you?" I asked almost crying.
"Oh God, Justine, call the doctor, please."
