Nas was doing everything in his power to make this birthday special for nicki she said low key and he was going to make that happen they was not as close as they should have been they was both busy recording and living on different coast he had manage to get destiny to come they would have dinner as a family minus knight they he and Nicki would something more private then he would pop the question destiny was due to arrive in Miami any minute now he had told Nicki he would be in New York for her birthday but he would be here the day after he had sent a team over to pamper her he sent pink roses and he kept on sending them every hour until he saw her he spotted Des and made his way towards her he hugged his daughter and they made their way to the waiting van
Nas : " what would you say if I asked Nicki to marry me?"
Des :" I would be happy for you she makes you happy and that makes me happy "
Nas hugged his daughter she was truly his first love she made him see life differently. Nicki had just done getting her nails done Nas had sent someone to give her a massage she was being treated like a queen these flowers kept on coming every hour she loved it she missed Nas but knew tomorrow would be great for them.
Her mother had called to wish her a happy birthday she could hear the sadness in Nicki voice though when she asked what's the reason for it she had let her know Nasir had to work but would be here tomorrow her mother let her know she was being a big baby.
Wayne had called and sent gift her label had also sent gifts today was special it was only missing Nasir.
She took up her phone to call him
Nas : "baby how is the pampering going"
Nicki : " it's great only thing missing is you and your little friend" Nas walked away from destiny yo say what he was about to say
Nas : " ain't nothing little over here you to pull some out our ease up so how is it little"
Nicki : " I wish I was begging you to take some out right now"
Nas : tomorrow when I get there and when we on the plane to the Bahamas Imma cripple you for sure l

Nicki : " Nasir"
Nicki began to breathe hard
Nas: " she got all wet for daddy huh , tell her to stay wet for daddy "
Nicki pressed her legs together
Nas : "baby imma call you back later I love you"
Nicki : " I love you too"
Nas had already hung up nicki looked at her phone and mugged it real hard.
Nas almost had a heart attack they almost knocked Nicki came over while they got this room prepared for the three of them he was not about to let any one spoil this day
Destiny:" you look like you we about you lose it" she laughed but Nas ain't find a thing funny about it he needed everything to go right hopefully he would have a wife my the end of the night and tomorrow be in Bahamas making love on the white sands that's all he wanted and he was gonnna ensure it happened .

It was now time for him and destiny to go surprise nicki , nicki was laying up in the hotel room Nas had gotten her she heard the noises outside her door and maybe no mind but then it kept on going and there was a knocked she jumped off the bed ready to go off here she was catching up on her shows and someone wanted to be doing all that in front her door of all the door she Flung the door open only to greeted by Nasir and Destiny
Nicki : " I ... what are you doing here ... I thought you was working" Nicki struggled to put a complete thought together. Nas laughed
Nas : " couldn't let the kid be by herself I was working to get destiny to you as well"
Nicki hugged Nas and Destiny.
Destiny:" I don't mean to break up this but we on a timeline let's go get you ready"
Nicki looked at destiny Nas said he would be in the sitting area nicki and Destiny did there makeup while Destiny went and pulled out this beautiful dress her dad got Nicki , Nicki was overcome with emotions Nas was the only man that has ever went out his was for her so much she didn't know what to do but smile they was finally ready Nas looked up and Nicki looked so beautiful he got up and kissed her he was about to deepen it but remembered Des is here and they needed to be in the ball room
Nas held Nicki had as they took the Elevator down he lead her to the ballroom where's a series of surprise hit her there stood her mom her brother candy tembi and the rest of her friends she broke down and cried Nas had transformed here into queens there was a little patty ship a corner store everything of home was here. Nas came behind her and whispered that they would have dinner together later but she should enjoy this. She mixed with her friends and family she loved this it was lowkey and found showed he had put so much thought into making this day all about her.
Nas was nervous about this the ring was in his pocket this was the final push to it the guys had already prepared for the worse but he had faith in nic she wanted this as much as him they had gone back on track since his birthday and it was now or never. They had a wonderful time with her friends and family and Des he couldn't definitely see them all gelling together they would be unstoppable together the world would be at there feet he thought of Nicki pregnant with their first child he couldn't wait for all that but he felt said that knight might miss out because his mother was still bitter. The night was gonna just as planed it was perfect but maybe it was too good to be true
They was eating and laughing when she looked beautiful  they was almost done eating when Nas decided to do what he came here to do secure the love of his life and make her into his wife

Nas : " what are your thoughts on marriage and family right now babe"

Nicki : " they are something I see in the very near future"

Nas : " and if I was to ask you to be my wife what would you say"
Nas took the ring out his pocket and put it before nicki and went down on one knee never in a million years did he think he would be doing this again Carmen was a fail Kelis was a fail but he felt it in his soul that Nicki was it for him.

Nicki started to cry a little she never thought this would happen but she didn't want this right now  she was just discovering who she was as a person Nas had let her know what it truly felt to be free and she wasn't ready to be a wife as yet plus he works so much and she works so much she would rather wait until Nas retired to look at marriage with him she looked down at nas and took a deep breath

Nas: " onika I promised myself if I ever did this again it's for a life this time , I see a life time with you do be the honor and becoming  my wife?"

Nicki: " don't take this the wrong way baby I love you but I am just finding myself my freedom and my voice and I don't feel we ready for this step yet baby after I finish the album and you drop your music and your other investments we can revisit this idea but we too busy right now baby "

Nas was shocked hurt every emotion was in his heart at the moment he wanted to scream maybe even break a few stuff but that wouldn't change a things  too busy music and investments that's what came to her mind while he was asking her to share his life with him he sucked it all up and decided to just play it off it was her birthday still

Nas : "I understand completely"
Nicki : " Nasir I'm so sorry"
Nas : " it's nothing to be sorry about you just not there yet , let just enjoy this birthday desserts "

Nas was eating but he wasn't even aware of what he was eating he was just spaced out. They finished eating when pink fire works went off Nicki looked up
Nicki : " is that for me"
Nas : " yeah let go outside and enjoy it"
Nicki held Nas hand as a they walked outside it was magical the fireworks was over and Nicki was ready to go home with nas.
Nas Phone went off it was Gabe asking if she said yes Nas replied no and told him to they needed a chill session tonight.

Nicki : " let's go home baby"

Nas : " actually I can't tonight , something came up but the driver is gonna take you to my beach house so you can enjoy what I had planned for us"

Nicki felt sad this was the first time Nas was busy when they was doing something special Nas followed her to the waiting car.
He was texting the rest of the guys to bring weed and lots of Hennessy he needed to be faded his birthday was a blow but this one was  the one that took it all he was done like never before he was ready to be in these streets again because it was clear they had missed a step or two he wondered if he did something wrong .
Javi :  " how much weed we talking about ?"
Nas :   " how much I need to forget today ever happened"
Javi : " damn it's that bad "
Nas : " that's just stage one"
Nas didn't answer the follow up text they all just met up at Gabe's place when Gabe opened the door he saw the lost look in his friend eyes he grabbed Nas for a hug to let him know he was there for him no matter what he needed but it's when Nas squeezed him back he understood how bad it was. The rest of the guys soon piled into Gabe's places nothing was said they just drank and smoke it was clear Nas didn't want to talk he knocked shot after shot back and paced the floors he was thinking that was clear
Javi : " what you chicken out and didn't ask her why you this stressed" Javier decided he would be the one to break the silence because they have been drinking for three hours and it wasn't easing up on Nas end
Nas whipped his head around so fast at javi question he thought he had whiplash he looked at this friend up and down mugged him and poured another shot he could put into words what he was feeling he was about to open his mouth to attempt to speak when Anthony came in and just hugged Nas that was the straw that broke him the tears almost escaped he wiped his eyes quickly but they all caught it
Gabe: "whatever you need just say the word son"
Nas nodded because he was gonna need them like never before.
Nicki returned to Nasir's place knows how she found the driveway with candles when she got out the car the house was decorated with rose petals champagne chilled a massage table was set up the lady greeted her and said welcome Mrs. Jones it was clear and I had seduction on his mind tonight but he had decided to go handle business instead she hoped that he didn't feel away about her reluctance to get married but she knew they had a good thing going on and she didn't want it to stop she know this would have been a bump in the road but it was one that they could get over with once they were open and honest with themselves she thought about tomorrow and I'm leaving for island it would be good for them to just talk and rebuild and have that crazy ass sex that they would have.
