Nas was in New York he was days away from his birthday  Nicki  and him was still not on the best of terms  since learning more about her and these meek talks and he didn't know if she was going to make it to his party and he was fine with that he wasnt stressed over nothing he was in a good mood and nothing or no one would change that . He knew his friends would step in if  he needed help but he would never ask that of them again they had done enough and he could never repay them, he spoke to his lawyer it was time to have a solid custody arrangement in place with kelis because she was trying him beyond measure. his meeting with Anthony had went well he was so busy and his hustle never stopped truth be told he was hustling now like illmatic never dropped and he was searching for his big break but he had to pause all of that he needed to set things straight with Nicki he dailed her number as he headed into his car.

Nicki :" Nasir I'm about to recorded what's up"

Nas: " dead that we need to talk now"
by the tone in his voice Nicki knew he was serious she put the call on hold and cleared the room when everyone was out she locked the door and put the phone on speaker .

Nicki: " we are alone you can talk now Nasir"
Nas rocked back in his seat and ran his hands over his face he was tired and confused what was wrong with his baby he thought she was acting all crazy  .

Nas:" man this is not working out we need structure a balance I love you but I'm asking for more on your end you can chill with candi  and them but you can't come and chill with me but you expect me to come to you at the drop of a hat that shit fucked up my birthday is days away and I'm asking that you show up we can go to Hawaii after"

Nicki: "Nas I will be working around your birthday and I need to be recording"

Nas: " I got you on the recording part , I won't beg but you coming is vital to a us"
Nicki was about to say something but Nas ended the call.  He was not looking for a work around this he needed his gf at this birthday party him and nicki would hardly communicate leading up to his birthday

Nas woke up happy it was officially his birthday and he thanked God he knew Nicki was in New York but they haven't spoken he just prayed she would come tonight his phone began to ring
Jungle : " you not a baby no more you a old ass man today happy birthday big bro more life more blessings "

Nas : " thanks jungle come over let's have breakfast just the two of us like old times"

Jungle : " I thought Nicki would be over you'll good"

Nas : " we  going through some stuff but I know we should be alright"
Jungle : " that's what I like to hear cus we know you picky bro and you move on with lighting speed"

Nas laughed , he hanged up and the calls kept pouring in from friends and family he still hadn't heard from Nicki which was weird but that was ok she had things going on she wasn't ready to talk about that was clear he was willing to give her time in that,  he wasn't about to push it on her .
Jungle came over and was cracking jokes all over Nas felt happy he went and got a hair cut then went over the clothes April had sent over as party recommendations he love the blue suit so that would be it for him he relaxed had few glass of wine before he entered into the private dinner party he looked around hoping to find Nicki but she was no where to be found he pushed the sadness aside and smiled for the camera
Jungle : " they said you left something in the car"
Nas thought and couldn't remember what he left
Nas : " you sure"
Jungle : " yes"
Nas made his way outside this was weird he thought he took everything out he pushed the doors that lead to the car but didn't see the car

Nicki : " you didn't think I would let you party without me"

Nas : " onika ?"
Nicki : " oh you don't want me here let me just go then"
She attempted to walk off Nas grabbed her and kissed her
