    Adam woke up in he best way. His boyfriend's head was resting in the crook of his neck, his breaths tingling it. Adam smiled down at Shiro. The white puff of hair that usually rested on his forehead was all frizzy and out of place. Adam wondered if it was either late morning or two AM. Either way, Adam didn't want one of the Paladins knocking on Shiro's door and Adam having to hide in his bathroom. Again. Adam loved Shiro, but he didn't love keeping the relationship a secret from the Paladins. Shiro didn't want them to know yet, and Adam saw his views. First of all, neither of them where willing to hear Lance and Pidge's sex jokes and bad gay puns. Adam also wasn't keen on explaining to Allura what half of the inappropriate things they talked about are. And they still couldn't hide from the fact that they were still healing from their past tensions.
On the other hand, Adam didn't want to hide from the truth, he had done enough of that. Make no mistake, Adam would lie about anything in a instant to be with Shiro. He helped him feel better, although Adam didn't want Shiro to know what was wrong. Adam knew he had to much on his hands. He didn't want his crippling anxiety to add on to it. But the thing is, it was going away more and more everyday he spent with Shiro. Adam also felt more comfortable with himself. He stated not wearing his jacket 24/7 and just let them see the scar, the one that ran from his shoulder to his collarbone. They didn't say anything, Adam was glad they didn't seem to care. He guessed this kind of thing was normal for them. Adam was almost certain Matt and Lance where catching on to their lie. They just haven't confronted them yet, which Adam was thankful for. Adam also kind of liked having the relationship closeted. The team already made gay jokes about Adam and Shiro, he didn't need more. Adam also didn't know how they would react to two of their teammates being in a romantic relationship. Adam couldn't see one of his teammates being homophobic, but you never know. Confessing would also change the way they look at them. Would the team still look at Shiro and Adam as the independent, strong leaders, or just the confused homos. Adam could already hear the team asking to know the whole story. Adam in no way wanted to tell them they used to be engaged.
Anyway, Adam was no longer tired. He wanted to get up and get ready. But, as fate would have it, he was rather comfortable with Shiro. Or maybe it just felt good to have him with Adam. It made Adam feel accomplished to have Shiro looking comfortable on Adam. And, Shiro was strong. Adam couldn't exactly just get him of of himself with out waking Shiro up. Adam didn't want to wake Shiro up, he had been sleeping a lot better when Adam was with him. It used to just be a few hours a night, but with Adam he actually got eight hours, or more.
Adam brushes the side of Shiro's cheek.
"Babe, we have to get up." Adam whispered.
Shiro didn't budge. Curse him being a deep sleeper.
Adam nudged Shiro in the shoulder this time.
"Takashi, Hun we gave to get up now." Adam whispered, a little louder this time.
Shiro still slept peacefully.
"Fuck it." Adam said under his breath. Screw being a good boyfriend, Adam had things to do.
He lightly slapped Shiro in the face.
"What the-" Shiro was cut of by Adam.
"Get up dib-shit." Adam demanded.
Shiro looked up at his boyfriend, sleep still lingering in his eyes.
"Sorry, Hun. You weren't getting up." Adam said.
Shiro chuckled.
"Okay then." Shiro lifted himself off of his boyfriend and stood up. Adam followed.

After getting dressed Adam began to walk to his room to get his jacket, which he had accidentally left there.
"Hey, wait. You know the rules." Shiro grabbed Adam's hasn't and pulled the brunette towards him.
Adam chuckled before giving his boyfriend a passionate kiss on the lips. This was the routine. The kiss at the beginning of the day powered them through the end of the day. Since they couldn't show any big sigh of affection towards each other, that's what got them through. When they where in battle, Adam imagined hugging Shiro tightly in his arms, and Shiro imagined the same. That's how it went. The only thing keeping them going was each other. Or, at least that was part of it. Adam often thought about Annabeth. He missed her so much. He was if anything angry at himself for leaving her and having her think she was dead, especially after what happened.

~~~
"Adam, what it called when you horny for something but not in a sexual way. Like, I'm horny for Christmas, but I don't want to fuck Santa. You know?" Lance asked.
"Jesus fucking christ, Lance." Adam honestly didn't know why he was surprised anymore.
"And it's exited. Lance, exited."
Lance finger gunned Adam.
"That's it!" He exclaimed.
Adam sighed and gulped down his water. Since the castle didn't have coffee, which was something he needed to survive this cruel world, he started drinking water in the mornings and hoping for the love of god they would find some kind of caffeine in the space mall.
"Hey, Adam?" Lance said.
"Yea?" Adam looked up from the floor to his friend.
"This is a little more serious. But do you ever think about what would life be like if we were on earth right now? Like all of us."
Adam knew what it would be like. Shiro and him would still be competing to make breakfast. When one of them came home late the other would wait for them to come home, even after midnight. Adam and Shiro could of witnessed Annabeth having her kid. And he could of helped her. But more importantly, they would be home. Together. Adam knew he probably wouldn't of met Lance otherwise. And honestly he was glad he knew him, even though not many people can actually piss him of that badly. But Lance was his brother.
"All the time. But honestly, it would be weird if we didn't." Adam answered.
Lance nodded.
"I guess I'm just homesick. I had everything back on Earth. My family, my friends, my home." Lance admitted. "What about you? What do you have on Earth?"
Where do I start?
"Well, first of all, my best friend was pregnant. And I missed the birth of her child."
Lance's face softened.
"Oh."
"And my mother has cancer, and for all I know she's dead by now."
"I'm sorry Adam."
"It's fine. I've already dealt with that pain."
"Yea, just tell me if you need to talk. I'm going to go hang out with Hunk. Bye." Lance stood up and turned the direction of the door.
"Yea. And Lance, you know you can talk to me if you need to."
Lance nodded.
"I know."
