Chapter 12 - Closure

NICK'S POV

She walked in, her shirt clinging to her beautiful body. It was becoming harder for me to ignore her, and ignore the fact that I wanted to make her mine.

I was sitting up in the bed, shirtless, getting some work done on my laptop. I took off my glasses and looked at her.

"So, how was it? Not miserable?" I teased. I didn't know how she could stand to be with Sloane for more than an hour. Then again, she was a friend to her, not a sister.

"It was good." Ella smiled and then bit her lip, seeming to remember something.

"She asked if we'd done anything yet," she said, her cheeks becoming a bit pink. I raised an eyebrow.

"Done anything?" I questioned, and she crossed her legs tightly , seeming to want to cover herself.

"You know..." she started, trying not to look at me.

"Sex, little mate?" I smirked and her cheeks flushed red now, her mouth smiling a bit.

I knew Ella had been through some trauma before we met, so I was trying to give her time and make her feel comfortable while she adjusted. But God, she was starting to loosen up, and I could tell what turned her on, it was just so easy.

"Yeah. I don't know, should we have by now? It's not a problem that we haven't?" she asked.

"I'll mate you whenever I please, Ella. But I want you to be ready." I said sternly. She bit her lip again, looking to the side.

"I just meant, like, is it normal for the mating process to be longer like this?" she asked, sitting down on the bed tensely.

Her body was perfect, and her lips were soft and smooth as she talked. I had no idea how I was going to control myself for much longer.

"It's usually faster than this, especially with Alpha males. Anyone else would have taken you by now, but our situation is a little different." I explained, and she nodded.

"Well, thank you, Nick. I know I haven't known you super long but, you're the most thoughtful person I've ever met. No one has ever been this good to me." She smiled. I felt our bond strengthen at her words, and I set my computer to the side, sitting up to talk to her.

"You are my mate, of course I'm going to treat you how you deserve. We were literally made for each other." I said, touching her hand.

She moved closer to me, her eyes wandering down to my bare chest.

"I'm serious. I appreciate that you're waiting for me." she said. Her head leaned in and she closed her eyes.

I took the opportunity and kissed her luscious lips, feeling the spark between us. It was amazing to kiss her, and I didn't want to pull away.

I felt the spark between us before she leaned back and smiled.

Then we were interrupted by the ringing of my phone. I checked to see who it was and found it was one of my Generals.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Alpha. We've found them." his voice said on the other line. Ella's eyes widened and I realized she'd heard.
