Chapter 43

Matt's POV 

"You ready?" I asked Ana.

She nodded grabbing her bag and heading to the car.

We were going back to the doctor's for another scan, to check that everything was fine, and god I hoped it was because Ana's moods were killing me.

I glanced at her, she was staring moodily out the window and I wanted to take her hand, but honestly I wasn't game.

"Everything will be fine." I told her once we'd arrived and sat down to wait.

"I hope so." She whispered.

I don't think I was meant to hear that but I did so I put my arm around her pulling her close.

We sat there and waited until they called us. I sat there while Ana got set up then I held her hand while the doctor examined her. He didn't say much and I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

I pulled a chair closer to Ana as they started the scan and I watched the screen.

"There we go." The doctor said.

And yes, I could see our baby, it's heart beating. I looked at Ana and smiled, she was staring at the screen, crying.

"I'm just going to take some measurements." The doctor said, and I watched as he moved the ultrasound around and clicked away.

"Okay Ana, get dressed then come into my office."

So she got dressed, not saying anything and as we sat in the office I took her hand, she grabbed on tightly.

"Everything is fine, perfect, no more bleeding and your baby is growing perfectly." He announced.

I squeezed Ana's hand.

"And your about 14 weeks Ana, that's really good and honestly I think it's fine now if you go back to doing everything, no more resting."

"Oh thank god." Ana blurted.

I laughed, I knew it had been driving her insane.

We made another appointment and headed out.

"Let's have lunch, celebrate." I said.

She looked at me strangely but nodded. "Okay."

We had lunch and talked about the baby, now we could make plans and it felt great.

"Boy or girl?" I asked her.

"I don't care Matt."

I didn't either.

"Let's go see Soph and Brian." I suggested as we walked back to the car.

Ana stopped putting her hands on her hips. "Are you avoiding alone time with me?"

What was she talking about? "No, I just thought you'd want to tell everybody."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes, why would you think that?"

"Matt, I've been horrible."

I pulled her into my arm's. "You have, but it's okay, I love you."

"Good." She said kissing me. "Now take me home."

"You want to go home?" I honestly thought she'd want to tell everybody.

"Yes I want to go home." She put her lips to my ear. "I want to spend the day with you."

I smiled, I knew this was coming. "But what would we do?"

"Matt are you stupid." She snapped.

Moody.

"No, I just want you to tell me."

"How about I show you." She told me.

So we got in the car and headed home. As soon as we got in the door she literally threw herself at me.

"God I've missed this." She giggling, pulling my shirt over my head.

"Fuck, me too."

She smiled and looked at me. "Matthew, we're going to be parents."

I undid her dress. "I know, me and you."

She laughed, taking off her dress. "I hope your ready?"

"For what, you or the baby?"

"Both." She said,pushing me down onto the couch.

I couldn't fucking wait.
