Papers flew around in the halls, freshman boys yelled to each other, girls practiced their cheer moves for the football game tonight; I highly disliked high school.
I opened my locker, replacing the books I needed with the ones I didn't into my book bag. I looked at the pictures I had hung up of Zach and I. It's been two months since I've seen him last. Homecoming was just around the corner, and I knew he wasn't going to be here to make it.
He texted me everyday for the past month telling me how sorry he is that he wouldn't there. I told him I wasn't going if he wasn't, it just wouldn't be the same without him. I frowned, running my fingers down the pictures before closing my locker. I slung my bag over my shoulder, walking out towards my car.

later that nightI sat down next to Y/B/N on the bleachers, waiting for the game to start. It was the middle of October, and it was a lot colder then usual.
The football team came running out, getting hyped up to the song that was playing. This is the last game of the season, if we win, we go straight to championships. We all stomped our feet, cheering for the team.
By half time, the band was playing while we all got up to get food at the snack shack. Just as we were headed back to our seats, a guy started talking over the intercom.
"Good evening everyone," I turned and saw Jonah standing there smiling in the middle of the field. My friend lightly smacked my arm, giggling. "First off, good luck to the team. Second, we have a very special message to a lady in the crowd."
How is he here right now? Where are the other guys?
Just then, all the boys walked out holding signs.

?I looked at the last guy coming out. It was none other then my sweet boyfriend, Zachary. He was holding a bouquet of orchids, my favorite flower.
"To my loving girlfriend, Y/N, will you please go to homecoming with me?"
I quickly ran down the bleachers, onto the field, jumping right into his arms. The crowd cheered. I kissed him roughly but passionately.
"I've missed you so much babygirl." He hummed into my neck, placing me back down. "I can't believe you're here right now." I cried.
The boys walked me back over to the bleachers, getting pictures of the signs behind Zach and I. I hugged Zach again, smiling more then anyone ever has.
"So you never answered my question." He laughed, placing his hands on my waist. "I would love to Zach."
He kissed my forehead, then my lips. I missed this boy way too much.
