The Sad Truth

Dad?

"Hey guys" I say when I finally found Fred and George. I looked at the ground "I'm sorry, I wasn't avoiding you, I was trying to stay away from Draco, I'd never ignore you guys you're the first true friends I've met since forever, do you hate me?" I said looking up at them. Their faces stayed neutral and I was getting nervous.

"We don't hate you" they say hugging me. I hugged them back "you need sleep, we can talk tomorrow" they said pulling away.

I nodded, I started walking backwards facing them "Tomorrow, Dance Party in your room. I have the music and speakers. Let's give the golden trio a run for their money" I say winking at them causing them to laugh and nod a yes.

I was laughing when I bumped into someone, they grabbed my waist stopping me from falling. The hands were warm but I pulled away quickly to apologize and saw it was Draco, he looked tired, like he hasn't slept at all. I was sad but held my composure "Sorry about that, I'll be careful next time" I tell him as I speed walk to my room.

I heard running and saw my dad run across the corridor and towards the whomping willow. I ran after him but kept myself at a distance, I didn't want him seeing me. I followed him deeper into the forest, he was at the willow tree when he looked back. I quickly turned and hid behind the tree so he didn't see me. I stayed there for a few minutes but I heard crashing and ran towards the tree. Lucky the tree was frozen so I easily snuck in, I was jogging towards the voices arguing and heard another crash causing me to run and burst through the door.

"Lily?" I heard two men whisper

I looked towards them "no I'm Lilian" I said before looking around and saw my dad knocked out on a bed with debris over him as if he were blasted. "Dad!" I yelled running towards him and dusted all the stuff off of him "hey wake up" I said dusting him off and lightly slapping his face.

"Dad!?" Everyone in the room exclaimed. I looked at everyone and noticed Professor Lupin was there along with Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"Shit" I mumbled to myself "damn that must have hurt?" I said trying to cover up my slip up. They were still staring at me, the chubby one took this opportunity to try and break free but Professor Lupin stopped him.

Professor Lupin looked towards me "don't worry your father will be fine" I was going to interject but he seemed to know what I was going to say "and we won't tell anyone, you both are very good at hiding things, you've been keeping this secret for three years, im sure you have your reasons" I just nodded as he and the other man who I know now is Sirius Black started walking out.

Ron, Hermione, and Harry stared at me shocked at hearing the news. "Professor Snape?" asks Harry and I nodded making my way to Ron reaching in my bad for a first aid kit. When I pulled it out I tried to hand it to him but he and Hermione took a step back causing me to sigh.

I put the first aid kit on the floor "take it, there should be stuff for his cuts there, and enough gauze for his leg to stop the bleeding, take it" I say walking back to my dad. I moved his hair from his face happy that he was going to be okay then I look at the three "please, can you keep this secret, it's important that no one knows, I understand if you don't want to see me again considering you all think my dad is trying to kill Harry and you probably think I'm bad now" I heard them yell for Harry I looked down at my dad "go, they are calling you, I'm staying here with him, thanks for being great friends" they walked out not saying a word and I teared up a bit "dad, guess what? I lost four friends in one week, it wasn't meant to be. Oh, and they know our secret and so does Professor Lupin, I'm sorry"

"It's okay, it was bound to happen" he huskily said trying to sit up.

I hugged his torso and buried my head in his chest "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I-I was worried and scared. I wasn't thinking" I said snuggling in his chest.

He chuckled "it's ok, I'll talk to Professor Lupin. Knowing those three they won't say anything" I nodded sniffling in his jacket. We heard a groan of pain, almost like a howl, coming from outside. Dad quickly stood up and ran out and I quickly followed him.

He got out of the tree "there you are, Potter" he says grabbing Harry by his collar. He didn't notice the werewolf behind until it growled, quickly he shielded the three when the werewolf brought his arm up to swing at them. I wasn't thinking and jumped in front of my dad, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I was mid jump when the werewolf swung making contact with my stomach hitting me; making me fly and hit my back against a tree. I looked up to see them running towards me as a dog tries to fight the werewolf off. I reach my hands forward to them before passing out.

Hours Later
"Can we really trust her?" I heard someone ask as I felt myself waking up. "I'm not sure if I do she kept this from us, what else has she been keeping" another voice says. "I don't know if I'd be able to look at her the same" I wasn't sure what they were talking about but that hurt.

"Shush, she's waking up" I heard Ron say. I opened my eyes and saw Ron on the bed next to mine with Hermione next to him and Harry was standing by my bed.

"How long have I been out?" I asked no one said anything. I sighed loudly just as two people walked in.

"Yang! Why must you always be in pain and sorrow when we see you" they say in unison I laugh and sit up, they rushed over and helped me.

I felt a sharp pain in my lower back and hissed, everyone looked worried but I focused my attention on the twins "do you think you can break me out of the infirmary so I can talk to the both of you? Alone." I say to them. They nod happily and help me out of bed.

"I don't think that's a good idea you just woke up from a two day coma" says Harry looking at me worriedly.

I smiled at him "it's ok, I'll be right back trust me" I say causing them to look down guiltily.
