The Sad Truth

Operation Break In

"So here is the plan" I say to a very excited Fred and George, a nervous Hermione, Neville, and Ginny. "We" I say pointing between the twins and I "are going to apparate into my room in the muggle world, get the TV and DVD player and come back here, we clear?" I say to them and they nod.

I held onto their arms and we were soon in my room. I quickly unplugged the tv and dvd holding them in my arms, I turned and saw them looking around and picked up a framed photo of me and Draco as kids. "Hey!" I yelled, I heard walking up the stairs and shoved the guys in the closet and one mumbled "dejavu"

"Gran, Hey, how are you" I said leaning against the closet, she steps up to me hugging me.

"Oh, Lilian, how have you been?" She says stepping back. She looks at my hands, "where are you taking that stuff?"

I scratched the back of my neck "well apparently wizards don't have TVs and they haven't watched a movie so I had the idea that we should all watch one together" I say smiling up at her. "Can I also take the brownie mix?" I asked sweetly.

She sighed "Sorry, but I've already made them, I can give you some in a plate" I nodded and said thank you, she walked to the bottom of the steps. The boys came out of my closet holding a DVD

"Can we take this one?" Fred asks, I look at the cover and saw it was shrek. I stifled a laugh and mumbled yes. The room door opened and my gran walked in with a tray of brownies.

The twins were going to run back to the closet "it's too late Boys I saw ya, I knew you were there the whole time, just cause I'm old it doesn't make me any less a witch" she said handing the tray to me. Kissing my forehead she said "be safe sweetie, I'll see you in the summer" I hugged her and went to the boys. "Wait" she said before we left, "take this" she says handing me a book "don't open it until you get to where ever you are staying" I nodded and we apparated out of there.

We were back in Ginny's room but it was dark out. We left the TV and movies up stairs and walked down to see everyone talking on the sofa. "We are back" says the twins, everyone looks as we make our way into the kitchen.

"My gran sends brownies, if anyone would like any" Hermione quickly stood up and took a few, I took her arm and pulled her off to the side "the twins found my shrek copy and we brought it" I say whispering to her. She smiles and fist bumps me. The door bell rang as I talked to Hermione.

"P-Professor Snape?" I heard Neville whisper from behind me, I looked up and saw him standing at the door. "Why do you think Professor snape is here?" He asks me.

I leaned over to him "that's because he's my dad" I told him and he froze

"You said he was a chemist" he said remembering Slughorns dinner party

"I also said it's much like potions" I whispered, he looked liked he finally pieced everything together.

"Lilian" he says "might I have a word with you" says my father as he walks out of the house.

I turned around "please excuse us" I say running after him.

When we were in the clearing he stopped and then hugged me "I'm sorry Lilian, I should have made more time for you" he says I hug him back and cry into his robe thing. I wasn't crying because of sadness, I was crying because I missed the comfort and feeling of safety I got whenever I hugged him.

"What's going on? Both you and Draco have been acting different" I say looking up at him.

He puts on his usual stoic face "nothing is going on, things are just complicated"

I crossed my arms over my chest "complicated psh, I've heard that before. When am I going to get actual answers!" I yelled. He was surprised I raised my voice "you asked me to keep secrets but you never tell me what for, how am I suppose to defend myself when I don't know what's putting me danger" I whispered looking down.

He put a hand on my shoulder causing me to look up, he smiled weakly at me "can you trust me? Believe that all I'm doing is keeping you safe. You will get answers just not yet, the situation is complicated. My whole mission in life is to make sure you are safe and get to live until you are thirty. So I promise I will give you answers you'll just have to wait a bit more" I bit my lip and nodded feeling frustrated again but I understand a little better now. He kissed my forehead "Lilian please be safe" he said hugging me. I hugged him back and he disappeared after that. I laid on the ground looking up at the stars and sighed out.

"You too dad, love you" I whispered the words I didn't get to say when he left.

Fred and George laid next to me "How you feeling Yang?" They ask. I covered my eyes with my hand.

"I just, don't know what to do, I don't know anything, Harry suspects my dad is doing something shady, he hasn't told me but I could tell. I need answers" I say to them trying not to cry, but failed as they wrap their arms around me hugging me as we laid on the floor. After about ten minutes of me being sad we went back into the house.

I was walking up the stairs to change when I heard Ginny mumble "shoelace" I peaked around and saw her get up. They exchange a Merry Christmas to one another before they kissed. I quickly hid again OMG! It's happening Hermione owes me money I thought just as I saw a ring of fire appear around the house.

This woman appeared outside sing yelling that she killed Sirius Black, Harry ran past me and so did Ginny. I looked out the window and saw them run after the lady, I ran down and went to follow them when Mr. Weasley stopped me "no we will go you stay with the twins and protect everyone" I nodded as he ran after them yelling for Ginny and Harry.

I turned to the boys "flagellum" the three of us said whipping our wands that emitted an orange red spark. I took out the liquid chain and handed one to Molly, Neville, and Hermione "you three go to the side of the house and throw these on the floor" I looked at Molly "Mrs. Weasley it's important that you do not touch the dome" I handed Neville the potion for uncommon potions "just Incase, now go. The boys and I will stay on the outer dome" they all nodded and got into place. Hermione, Neville and Molly threw the potion on the floor and the dome immediately formed around them. Fred, George and I stayed outside and patrolled, everything got extremely quiet and we heard a laugh coming from up above. I looked up and saw two clouds of smoke hurtling themselves towards the house "please work" I chanted to myself. The two bounced off the dome and a woman landed in front of me, I looked over to Fred and George and saw that there was a man standing in front of them.

"You're the one that created this aren't you?" She asked. Holding up her wand casting a spell in my direction.

I spun the whip in front of me to block the spell "What's it to you?" I say swinging the whip at her hitting her face.

She reached to touch the cut "Oh, he'll like you" she says with a crazy look in her eye "I'm Bellatrix" she says still fighting me.

"I don't give a damn who you are" I say aiming the whip at her ankle, it wrapped around her and I pulled it so that she fell on her ass "I'm not interested" I was going to throw her to the dome to shock her but she looked over to the twins and saw that they immobilized their opponent. Bellatrix formed into smoke and said, he'll come for you before collecting her comrade and leaving. When the coast was cleared I fell back to the ground and clutches my thigh sighing in relief that I didn't die.

Harry, Ginny, Mr.weasley, Ron, Tonks, and Lupin returned "Ms Evans are you okay?" I nodded my head smiling at them. Professor Lupin reached out to touch the barrier.

"Don't" I say, he looks at me curiously

"It's a shield, what could it possibly do?" He asked looking at everyone.

Ron stepped forward "I've seen what the bloody thing can do, she's mental for creating it, although it's very wicked" he says complementing me.

Professor Lupin looks at me "you created this?" I nodded "do you have like an anti-potion or something" I nodded again. Taking a deep breath he mumbled "I'm going to try it"

I started shaking my head no, he quickly touched it and collapsed instantly, I crawled over to my wand and made the shield disappear "Nev, the potion!" I yelled out. He came running towards me but I pointed towards Professor Lupin. Neville quickly ran towards him forcing the potion in his mouth.

Professor Lupin quickly sat up, but fell back again "you created this really?" I nodded again "it's impressive, not only does it protect it also defends, well done Ms.Evans" he says smiling at me.
