The Sad Truth

Test Run

"Thank you for meeting me here" I say to Neville and the trio standing in front of them with my hands on my hips.

Neville raised a shaky hand "what are we doing here?" He asks pointing at Hagrid's hut.

"We are here because Hagrid let me test out my potion on his house" I say excitedly putting  my hands together, reaching in my bag I take out three potion vials "I've been brewing these over a week, I need you three" I said to the trio handing them each a potion "to go to a spot outside of the house and through the potion, then I will try to apparate  into the house to test if it'll block me out, if it does work" I hand Neville the potion "use this antidote" I say excitedly.

"You're mental! Of course it's going to work, you'll get hurt" says Ron.

Hermione steps in "I agree with him, it's too much of a risk, it's not going to be just your finger this time, it's your whole body" she says worried.

I sighed "I know the consequences that'll come with my actions, if I can't perfect this there will be no point in creating it and no one will be safe" I say looking up at them. They all looked skeptical before nodding. They got into place and started a count down "3. 2. 1." The trio threw the potion on the floor breaking the glass. Three chain walls started to form immediately, they connected at the top and filled the gaps making a dome. Seeing this i fist pumped the air yelling "yess", the three in the dome looked at me and gave me a thumbs up.

I took a deep breath "are you sure you want to do this?" Asks Neville standing besides me.

"Yes" I said before trying to apparate into hagrids hut. I went off but was quickly bounced off of the wall and thrown against a tree. "Ugh" I said, getting up weakly. I waved my wand making the dome disappear and the trio ran towards me with Neville trailing behind them.

"You're crazy, I can't say it enough" says Neville inspecting me to make sure I wasn't hurt anywhere.

"You really should be more careful Lilian" says Harry helping me up, when I stood up my leg started hurting and I fell back holding it.

The boys started walking towards me to see what the problem was, but I scoot back because  I didn't want them to see. Hermione quickly stood in front of me "boys, don't you see she's clutching her thigh, she's not going to show it to you" they looked confused and she sighed rather loudly "she is not going to lift up her skirt to show you" she tells them. They quickly take ten steps back.

"We didn't know", "We'd never", "s-Sorry" they mumbled out at the same time. I chuckled when they turned around "Boys, it like they never think" she chuckled out "ok let's see the damage" I lifted part of my skirt up and showed her, I had a gash that was bleeding causing her to gasp. "Wow that's big" she says cleaning my cut with a disinfectant wipe I hissed a bit "it's a good thing you keep a first aid kit with you" she says. "Really? Ariel gauze" she says wrapping it around me.

I blushed "shut up she's awesome, I saw your belle plushy on your bed" she gasped and mumbled touché. When she finished I called the boys "ok we should head back someone might see us" I say weakly getting up. Ron and Harry helped me walk to the school letting me lean against them for support.

Ron notices my gauze "who is that?" He asks confused. Neville and Harry looked and they were also confused.

I looked towards Hermione "your dating him and he doesn't know a Disney movie?" I asked her and she laughed, I looked at the boys "she's my favorite red head, after the twins of course, she's a princess with a dream to be with the man she loves" I tell them, they made faces like they were disgusted Neville even fake gagged. I slapped his shoulders "I'll have you know it's a great movie" I say. When I was able to walk on my own I said "we should watch them on Christmas break!" I exclaimed, they all nodded.

We got back on school grounds "since we know the potion works now, I need to go brew more. If you guys are ok with it, can I keep it in the room of requirements I don't really have anywhere to brew it" I asked nervously. They all nodded and that made smile, I started limping away when Draco wrapped his arm around me.

"Where are we off to love?" He asks pecking my checks, I pushed him a bit embarrassed.

"I'm going to practice more potions" I say to him "it didn't go so well" I finished pointing to my leg.

He chuckled "good to know I'm not the only one you abuse" he laughed out.

"Why weren't you at breakfast?" I asked.

He scratched the back of his neck "sorry I can't tell you, it's.."

"Complicated?" I asked remembering the conversation the day we first kissed. He looked down at me smiling sadly kissing me on the lips this time. I cupped his cheeks smiling up at him "just, let me know if you need anything, I don't want to push you into telling me, I'm just worried, your not around much either and you look tired all the time. Promise me you'll ask for my help when you need it, we are better together" I say grabbing his hand. He smiled and nodded before leading me somewhere. "Where are we going?" I say to him.

"It occurred to me we haven't had our first date yet" he stated and I looked at him confused "we  are going to hogsmead, we can walk around and stuff" he looked at my leg and chuckled "I guess in this case we'd just go to the three broom sticks and talk or we can do something else" he says winking at me.

"In your dreams" I laughed out.

He bridal caries me "Always" running out the door.
