"Thankyou for meeting me today Collin" I say to the the nervous boy sitting in front of me. He looks around scared "Dont worry, they arent all bad, plus no one should bother us today. Here" I said handing him a peice of cake "I wanted to say sorry for yesterday, I wasnt sure what flavor you liked so its vanilla and chocolate mixed together" I scratched the back of my neck.
"Where did you get this?" he asked happily.
"I made it last night, lets just say hagrid has a way of obtaining things that not everyone can get" I say winking at him, that made him choke on the cake "so, can you please tell us what it felt like when you were paralyzed?" I asked as Neville patted his back.
"well, it felt like I was paralyzed for an hour, during it my whole body felt hot and I was screaming out" he said looking down rubbing his wrist "its like the fire was directly touching my skin" he finished softly and sadly.
I went next to him and hugged him "I'm so sorry Collin really" Neville grabbed my elbow pulling me back. I looked at him and he motioned for me to look behind me, I turned and saw Draco with his arms crossed. Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle were behind him, I quickly let go of Collin and looked up at him "Hi Draco" I say smiling at him. "Is there anything I could help you with?" I said innocently.
He looked down at me smirking "I just wanted to know why my girlfriend is hugging someone else?" I heard a few gasps.
"your girlfriend?" I squeaked out.
"Yes, did I tell a lie love?" He said smirking again, I looked at Neville for back up but he was just as shocked as everyone else who heard his statement.
"Well, Y-you didn't really ask me, I mean its not that I haven't thought about it, its just I-its so sudden I mean we never established anything and I-" I didn't get to finish what I was saying because he grabbed my wrist and started taking me out of the dining hall. I looked back to mumble an apology to Neville and Collin for leaving so suddenly. I stoped when I spot crabbe, goyle, and Pansy walking up to them "levicorpus" I whispered pointing at them.
The three of them are suddenly hanging in the air upside down "Ms. Evans!" I heard my dad yell and that made me grab Draco's arm and run with him out into the field.
We stopped at the whomping willow, well not near it, cause, you know it'll kill us. I faced him "what was that in there? You couldn't have done that privately?" I asked embarrassed.
He put his finger to my lips, making me not talk "I know your going to ramble, but what was I suppose to do? You had your arms around him, I was jealous and I wanted everyone to know not to touch what's mine"
I smirked "Please, I don't belong to anyone, just me, myself, and I" I scoffed and that caused him to sigh.
"I didn't mean- what I'm saying is that, I really like you, for a while actually. You make my days better, when I have no hope that there is nothing for me, you make me feel like I can do more than what I am capable of" he says looking down.
I grabbed his hand looking up at him "D you can accomplish great things I know it" I say smiling up at him but then shyly look down "but what about your father? He wouldn't agree to this" I say pulling away from him and hugging myself.
"I don't give a damn about what my father thinks, I want you, I want us, so what do you say?" He asks pulling me closer to him by my waist looking down at me with his stupid yet cute smirk.
I wrapped my arms around his neck "I'd love to Draco" I say going on my tippy toes to kiss him. I quickly pulled away "wait! No PDA, it's embarrassing" I say turning red.
Kissing my forehead he says "how else are people suppose to know we are together" I laughed then he kissed my cheek "you look cute when you're embarrassed" then he kissed my lips "I like the surprised look on your face when you don't see it coming" he finished winking before walking away.
I didn't move because my knees felt weak "where are you going?" I shouted.
"You have a dinner to go to love, I figured you'd leave now before I steal you away and we spend the day together" he says turning back around walking towards the castle.
"Dinner?" I thought to myself. I walked back to the castle and bumped into Harry who was wearing a nice suit "where are you going looking so nice?"
I asked him and he looked at me "don't tell me you forgot?" He says, I tilted my head in confusion "Slughorns dinner thing? It's in an hour" he says.
"Shit" I mumble to myself "bye Harry see you there?" I say running to my room to get ready. I wasn't sure if this was a formal event so I went with a green dress and black polka dot nylons.

I ran to where the dinner was and burst through the door. I saw Neville and sat next to him "I'm so happy I'm not late" I whispered to him as I sat down.
"I'm surprised you came at all I'd thought you'd get friendlier with Malfoy considering what occurred not too long ago" my face went red and I shoved him away from me as he laughed.
"Welcome everyone" says Slughorn as he walks into the room. Those who were standing sat down, Harry sat to the left of me and looked my way smiling. There was an empty chair "I see Ms. Weasley is running late, no matter she'll join us when she arrives, so please dig in" he says pointing to the table that displayed veriable foods and deserts. I went for the ice cream since I wasn't too hungry. Everyone at the table was talking about their connections to important people and I really wasn't interested. I was making faces at Neville trying to make him laugh but it didn't work, "for those of you who don't know Marcos uncle invented the wolfsbane potion is he working on anything new?" That peaked my interest and I looked towards him. He was pigging out and mumbled so I couldn't understand a word he was saying, the conversation suddenly came to me "what do your parents do?" He asked.
"Um" I started off looking at Harry a bit panicked "my mother was muggle born witch but as far as I know she left us" I said and all eyes were on me "my dad, he is um, a chemist"
"Is that considered a dangerous profession?" He asks
I chuckled awkwardly "yeah it's much like potions, if you don't mix the correct combinations you could blow yourself up" I finished, again, I was being looked at and Neville chuckled to himself.
Ginny walked in eyes red "Sorry, I'm not usually late" she says walking up to her chair. When she pulls out the chair Harry quickly stands up causing me to chuckle. They both take a seat and the dinner party continues.
I elbowed Harry on his side "make a move, talk to her" I say he just smiled and shakes his head.
