The Sad Truth

I'm Back

"when you guys invited me to the shop, I didn't expect to be in this" I said pulling on the dress they had me wear "Is the flower crown really important, I feel stupid" I told them looking at myself in the mirror.

They stood besides me and we looked at each other through the mirror "Yang, you said you'd make up for being gone an extra year and we are holding you to that" They say looking down at me "We have a line of kids at the door and you are going to be our greeter, you see if we had a pretty girl at the front, people would want to buy from us often and you'd help with sales!" I blushed when they implied I'm pretty.

I sighed "the things I do for you boys" I say and they smile innocently at me. Looking in the mirror I try to pull up my dress from the front but it wasn't working. I turned "ok Lilian you got this" I whispered walking to the doors. Putting my hands on the door nob I look back at the boys they give me a thumbs up and I return it.

I took a deep breath "Hello welcome to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes" I say opening the door, to my surprise Neville was the first one in line. He looked shocked to see me.

"Lilian? Is that you and not one of their pranks" he says poking my cheeks causing me to laugh. He beams and hugs me "you missed so much, I thought you weren't coming back when you didn't show up fifth year"

I chuckled "yeah I trained with my dad an extra year but I'm back" he smiled and so did I

"Neville! You're hold up the line, stop flirting and go in, it's never going to happen!" I heard someone yell followed by laughter. I look at the line and saw a first year Slytherin and sighed.

Stepping away from the door I walk up to the kid "hey asshat, watch yourself, don't disrespect my friends" he looked scared and gulped.

One of his friends nudged him and that made him clear his throat "what makes you think I care" he says scoffing "you're just a Gryffindor, you're no one to be scared of"

I take off my flower crown handing it to Nevele and let my hair free showcasing the green streaks I had. I brought out my wand and pointed it to his throat getting closer to his face "Trust me kid, you don't want to start anything, we will see a lot of each other in Slytherin so I suggest you remember me, I'm Lilian Evans, a half blood. I also suggest to stop being an ass or we are going to have a problem, ok" I ended smiling innocently at him and go back to Nevele.

"I forget how scary you can get" he chuckled handing me the flower crown. I turned it down and gave it to a Ravenclaw that was walking in the shop. "I think you might have gained more fans" he says pointing at the group of boys I threatened. They were all staring at me with their mouths open. I laughed and walked inside with him.

I excused myself and went looking for the boys, when I found them they were on the stairs talking to Ron. "Five Galleons" they said in unison.

"I'm your brother" says Ron

"Ten galleons" I interrupted them

"Brilliant Yang, keep up the good work" they said running away.

"Lilian, I didn't know you'd be back" says Ron shocked. I nodded my head smiling at him, he suddenly pulls my arms and takes me with him.

"I heard someone stood up for Nevele, it was a girl, a Slytherin, do you think it's his girlfriend?" Asked a redhead.

"No, Nevele doesn't have a girlfriend" says Hermione who looked towards Harry "does he?" She asked and he just shrugged, looking at the redhead.

Ron soon approached them and I hid behind him. "Guys you'll never guess who I just found" he says breathless. Pulling me forward I stumble in the middle of the group and fall on my butt.

"Tada" I say awkwardly looking up at them. They looked shocked.

"You're the girl who helped Nevele earlier" says the red head. She inspected my outfit "you work here? I didn't know Fred and George hired someone?" She asks

Getting up I introduce myself "I'm Lilian, Lilian Evans, you are?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm Ginny Weasley, I know your name my brothers couldn't stop talking about you" she says causing me to chuckle.

I looked at Hermione and Harry they still hadn't said anything, I look at them "it was nice seeing you again, um, Ginny it was nice meeting you" I say starting to walk away, Harry suddenly grabbed my arm and hugged me "um, Harry I can't breath" I say trying to pull him off me Hermione and Ron soon joined in.

"We never should have questioned you, you risked your life for us twice. Can you forgive us" I was too emotional to answer so I hugged them.

Ginny cleared her throat and they all let go of me, I saw she was staring at Harry and he did the same. Smiling internally I patted his back before I was whisked away by the twins.

They brought me to a dark corner "someone hasn't been able to take their eyes off of you" they say pointing to were they kept the nosebleed nougat. I looked over and saw Draco, we made brief eye contact. He waved and I waved back. "You mentioned in your letters that you often visited one another at Hogsmead, what's going on there?" They asked.

"Well we met up a few times, hung out, talked. You can say we are friends, I still don't fully trust him yet but I'm getting there" they nodded their heads and pushed me forward nudging their heads towards Draco.

Understanding what they meant I started walking over to him until someone stepped in front of me "I'm Cormac, and you are?" He asks smirking a playboy smirk.

"Not interested" I smile back pushing past him making my way towards Draco. "Hey, I didn't expect to see you here?"

He shrugged "my friends wanted to come so I tagged along, plus I heard there was a girl in an orange dress threatening a first year for being an ass and I assumed it was you" he said smiling in my direction. He looked at me up and down "it looks quite nice on you" he says causing me to blush slightly. He grabbed a strand of my hair putting it behind my ear "You're hair wasn't like this the last time we saw each other"

I stepped back a little feeling the room get hotter "um, thanks, I thought you didn't want others to get the wrong idea" I whispered out.

Putting an arm around my shoulder he says "let them, we are friends and I promised I wasn't going to hide it this time"

"I have to get back and help Fred and George, we have a few more weeks until the school year starts. You know my address so just owl me" he looked down at the ground then up at me, he looked quite sad.

"I have to attend meetings with my father until classes begin so I won't be able to write to you" he hurried out.

I looked down sadly then smiled up at him "it's alright, I know how your family could get" I hugged him and he hugged me back "Well, I'll see you when school starts" I say walking away.

"You really do look beautiful in that dress ili" he shouts out. I walk faster blushing hurring up the stairs.

"I knew it" I looked up and saw George, Fred, and Hermione with their arms crossed with stupid grins on their faces.
