The next few days, no one had spoken to Gwen. Gwen was always silent and alone. She spoke to no one, ate with no one and played with no one. Her grades were suffering too and the mistresses always told her to work hard but she just didn't seem to listen. She was always in a daze, just staring at the abyss or out the window.
"What's going on with her?" asked Shasha to Darrell. "Why does she always seem to be in a daze? She looks as if she needs help."
"Oh just ignore her," said Darrell. "No matter how many times people try to give her some advice, she just doesn't follow them, so what's the point?"
"Well, I'm still gonna try," said Shasha. "She seriously needs some help..."
Shasha went to where Gwendoline was. She was just laying on the grass and staring at the cloudless blue summer sky. Shasha sat next to her on the grass.
"Hi Gwen," said Shasha, cheerfully. "What are you looking at?"
She laid down next to her and stared at the sky too. It was so blue and beautiful. Gwen said nothing and Shasha continued.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" said Shasha. "So blue, so perfect. But it's missing something."
"What is it missing?" asked Gwendoline, suddenly. "It looks perfect to me..."
"It's missing some white fluffy clouds," said Shasha. "They're like whipped cream on cake. If it's missing it doesn't matter much But it's still missing some tasty cream."
"Yeah I agree with you," said Gwen. "I feel like it would be a little more cooling and calm with clouds."
"You know what," said Shasha. "I've never seen a sky this clear back in my country. There's always at least one cloud in the sky. It's always cloudy too but and rains unexpectedly."
"Really? Because here, we'll know if it's going to rain," said Gwen. "Clouds loom up in the sky in advance."
"But the thing is," said Shasha. "Once there was a storm and the sky was blue and there was only a few clouds."
"Your weather is so unpredictable," said Gwen. "If it's cloudy, it must be cold right?"
"Not a chance," said Shasha. "It's cloudy but still really hot..."
"The weather is so weird," said Gwen. "Do you have seasons?"
"No we don't," said Shasha. "But we do have hot season and monsoon season where it's always rainy."
"That's it?" said Gwendoline. "There's no snow?"
"Nope there isn't," said Shasha. "But there is fruit season. That's when there are many fruits."
Gwendoline got up and turned to Shasha.
"What kind of fruits do you have in your country?"
"We have normal fruits that you have here," said Shasha. "We have special mangoes, special papayas, langsat, mangosteens, rambutan and durians."
"I've never heard of those fruits," said Gwendoline. "I've never tried them either."
"They're really good," said Shasha. "They're tropical fruits and they are sweet."
"I think break time's over," said Gwendoline, getting up. "I think we better get back to class."
"Yes we should," said Shasha, getting up. "Or else Miss Williams will tick us of for being late for maths class."
They walked together to class. Sophia hadn't gone for break because she was busy studying in the school library. Now she was sitting at her table in class. She was surprised that Shasha was walking with Gwendoline. Shasha then went to sit with Sophia.
"What have you been doing?" asked Sophia. "What were you doing with Gwen?"
"I just talked to her," said Shasha. "Because she looks lonely."
"Hmm okay then," said Sophia. "Shh Miss Williams is here."
Miss Williams entered the class and the class started as usual. She taught maths. The class went on as usual. She finished her class and that was the end of the day. The students went to their common room till the evening to just play around. Shasha and Sophia were playing snap. Then, suddenly Gwendoline approached them.
"Can I join you?" she asked. "I've got no one to play with..."
The two of them looked each other and nodded.
"Sure Gwen," said Shasha. "Come on. Wait let me divide the cards."
So they played the game and had fun. It didn't matter who won or who lost but it was still fun to play. Then, they soon got bored of it So Shasha suggested another game. They decided to play a board game this time. They decided to play the latest game which was Cluedo.
"Come on lets play," said Shasha. "Bags I Miss Grey."
"I think I'll take Mrs Silver," said Gwendoline.
"I'll take Mrs White, then," said Sophia. "How do we play this?"
They read the rules sheet and then they understood the rules.
They began and the first round, Shasha won. The next Sophia won. Turns out, the murderer was Mrs White killer in her round.
"Oh my," said Sophia, laughing. "Look I'm sending myself jail..."
The others just laughed. The next round Gwendoline won. Then, it was time for bed so everyone returned to their dormy to call it a night.
"Thanks Shasha," said Gwendoline. "No one has spoken to me for the past few days but you have. I really liked playing games with you."A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the very late chapter. I've been updating the Tekken fanfic so long that I almost forgot about this story. I'll try to update as much as I can.
