I chuckled shaking my head...
𝐌y eyes grew wide once I came face to face with the once familiar woman. "M-mom?"
The small woman smiled up at me and I realized she was definitely my mother. Different, but she was my mother.
"What, not gonna give your mother a hug?"
Getting a closer look I couldn't help but to notice how much she's changed.
Almost completely unrecognizable. Her shoulder length brown hair was now wait length and a light brown color. Her body much smaller than what I remembered it being, her bright grey eyes now dark and dull.
I could feel my eyes starting to water. "M-mom, I-I can't believe it. You're here." I spoke slowly walking up closer to her pulling her into my large arms.
It felt like with one wrong move I would just break her and shatter her to pieces. She felt so fragile. Or maybe it was just me, because it's been so long since I've seen her.
"I'm here son. I'm here." She sniffed as she rubbed circles around my lower back.
I sniffed slightly and cleared my throat. "I'm sorry I'm a little sweaty."
"Oh nonsense, you're fine. We did just impose on you and your day."
My eyes went from her down to the tiny girl holding her hand as she hid behind her leg.
"Umm who's this?" Her face went from happy to one unrecognizable expression. It was almost like nervousness.
"Oh umm-" she spoke as she pushed her fingers through her hair and pushed it behind her ear. "This is Brasen."

I nodded slowly still looking down at the tiny girl.
"Brasen.." I repeated making the girl shy away behind mom's leg some more.
"She's your sister Y/N."
My eyebrows raised and my mouth dropped.
Did she just say sister?
I stood there looking down at her as she stared up a me. I let my eyes flick from down at her over to my mom.
