A person with self-confidence issues is a really good singer but refuses to believe that it's true. They do acknowledge, however, that they are amazing at djembe (say GEM-bay) drumming. (Look it up.) Another person, potentially a love interest, is also an excellent singer, but can't drum at all. So they ask the self-conscious person to drum for a recital or something as a backing track while they sing. It goes pretty well, and they hang out a lot more. Then the self-conscious person gets caught singing by the other, and they insist on showing them they can actually sing.
My friend wrote a story kind of similar to this idea, but it's not on Wattpad. I'll see if I can convince her to publish it.
