A village where everything is the exact same. Everything. Everyone shops at the same grocery store, reads the same books, watches the same movies. And everyone - EVERYONE - lives in one of many identical red-brick houses.
One such house is becoming less identical. The lawn is becoming unkempt. The shingles are becoming mossy. The tree in the front yard is becoming misshapen and odd. And for some ungodly reason, someone decided to plant a hedge around it so it stands out even more. But what people don't realize is that it takes everyone's attention away from the little red-brick house on the street corner, which is quite a bit smaller than it should be.
I feel like there's some cool philosophical stuff you could do with this.
