Wizardry, but with crystals. Basically, various crystals and stones have magical properties and can be used as amulets in battle or while performing magic. Each stonekeeper has a staff made from a specific type of crystal, which they store in the ground with all their other stones. They follow their keeper around underground until the keeper summons them. The keeper can't summon their stones without their staff, and they can't summon their staff unless they have both feet on solid ground.
