[REAL LIFE]

Harper adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder as she walked through the double doors of Stage 9. It was surprisingly frigid in the filming space, but Harper didn't mind. She weirdly hated the heat of Los Angeles. She strolled through the dimly lit hallway until she came to an opening that contained a small piece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Harper's heartbeat picked up as she watched cast and crew alike standing around the set, chatting with one another and sipping coffee. As hard as she had worked to be here, she felt as if she didn't deserve this place, that she wasn't good enough to be surrounded by some of the greatest minds in the game.

Of course, she would never let anyone else know that.

She dropped off her bag at a long table filled with personal items, and went searching for her bosses, the Russo brothers.

As much as Harper loved working under two geniuses, she always imagined the slightly darker direction she could take the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Maybe someday.

"HARPER!" a booming voice shouted, pulling Harper out of her head.

"Spangles! Still fighting for the awful place we call the U.S of A?" Harper jeered.
Chris laughed.

"You know my thoughts on that," he said as he pulled her into a hug. Harper squirmed in his grip. She usually loved hugs, but hadn't felt normally about physical touch in a long time. She shook it off and gave Chris a wide smile.

"So how are you? Are you feeling better about, y'know? How long are you on set with us?" Chris questioned as he bit into a bagel.

"I'm fine, I'm doing better, and I'm here until they kick me out." Harper said with a chuckle.

"Harper Adler, you spawn of satan you!" said a voice from behind them. She turned around to see Anthony Mackie strolling towards her, with the man himself, Robert Downey Jr., trailing close behind.

"Big Bird! how's the lamest character in the MCU?" Harper said as Mackie and Robert brought her into hugs.
Mackie fake-glared and huffed.

"You're just pissed because you don't get to wear the most badass costume ever invented."

Robert rolled his eyes as he dramatically removed his glasses from his face. "The peasantry displayed by you people," he scoffed as Chris and Mackie struck up a conversation about costuming. "Now harper, the woman of the hour, how is everything? Have you started laying eggs with Spider-Boy yet?"

Harper gagged and said "I knew as soon as I saw you guys my gag reflex would return. Now, I'm going to need to throw up every time you speak to me, Robert."

"Did I hear that someone missed me?"
Harper rolled her eyes and turned once again to see a young Brit in a full body spandex suit smiling at her.

"What's up Tom Thumb?"
Tom smiled at the use of the nickname.

"Not much, mostly been sorting out the jelly filled from the non-jelly filled donuts," Tom shrugged as he bit into the one in his hand.
