[REAL LIFE]

Harper clambered with her luggage, trying repeatedly to shove it into the overhead bin of the plane.

"What the FUCK is wrong with this thing!"
Harper exclaimed. The rest of the plane became obviously quieter. Harper gave a sheepish grin and muttered a "sorry".

"You look like you are in need of a strong man," said a voice behind her.

"Okay, Tom, go get me Spangles!"
Tom held a hand to his chest in fake pain.

"Wow, a low, low blow to my thick biceps. What a shame."
Harper rolled her eyes and gave him a grin as he got her bag into the compartment.
She ducked down and scootched into her seat.
She cleared her throat, and said "Tom, where are you sitting for the flight?"
Tom visually gulped, and said,

"Well, pretty much everywhere else is full and I can't sit next to Elizabeth, because she threatened a restraining order. Maybe I-I could sit next to you?"
Harper felt a small smile grow onto her face.

"As long as you don't snore, because I will plug your nose with a bobby pin if you do."
Tom grinned.
"Deal."

Harper and Tom has been sitting next to one another for a good 3 hours, both of them genuinely enjoying the other's company.
They asked one another questions, from favorite food to favorite clothing item. Tom learned that Harper loves chinese food and socks, while Harper learned that tom was partial to Italian and liked jeans.

"The fact that you enjoy wearing jeans shows your sociopathic tendencies," Harper told him when she heard he liked denim.

Sebastian, who was sitting a few rows in front of the duo, kept looking back at the two laughing and talking with one another. Sebastian could see Harper getting more comfortable with him, and knew this was exactly what she needed. Sure, he loved their friendship, whether they were watching Parks and Rec reruns or boxed together at the gym. But she needed someone else, to help fill that space she talked about missing:

Someone like tom.
Someone who would treat her with the respect she deserved, got her scarily dark sense of humor, and who could love her nerding out over camera lenses.

Sebastian has a feeling that Tom was that guy. He turned to Mackie, who was sitting next to him, on the 875th level of candy crush. He lightly shoved his shoulder.

"Did you see the kids back there? They look like they could be planning their wedding!" Sebastian whispered excitedly to a bored anthony.

"Maybe that finally means he won't bother us anymore," Mackie said sarcastically while viciously tapping at his phone screen.

"Whatever. I can tell, they're going to get together," Sebastian said in a singsong tone.
Mackie looked up at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Dude, you are way too invested in the relationship of two twenty-year olds."
Sebastian sighed.

"Yeah, I know."
