Patton and Virgil were sitting on the couch watching a Disney movie when it became too much for Virgil and tapped Patton on the shoulder. The fatherly trait turned his attention from the television to him.
"What is it, Virgil?" Patton asked.
Virgil took a deep breath and said, "Look, I like you a lot, as in more than a friend. I just thought I should tell you. But, I'm not good with relationships. I've only ever been in two and I fucked both up."
"That's okay Virge, we'll make things work," Patton said cupping Virgil's face with his hands, "I like you too a lot too. That is all you need really everything else is less important."
"I don't know. I'm bad at being romantic and stuff, not to mention I am asexual. Every time I told someone that I liked or was in a relationship with they hated me. They wouldn't want to be in a relationship with a 'plant' as they put it."
"Clearly, they don't have an appreciation for nature," Patton said before placing a small kiss on Virgil's nose, causing a dust of red to surface on their faces.
"Will you go on a date with me Patton?" Virgil asked after a few seconds.
"Of course my flower," Patton said.
A/N: I so badly want to do a part two where they actually go on a date, but I don't know if anyone would want to see that.
