It had been a full two weeks, and you still had yet to see your mother. Rin was staying home again, but Hirioshi decided to stay with your mother 24/7 (besides when he had to work).

School only complicated things more, and two boys were pestering more than usual.

And for once it wasn't the twins who bothered you to no ends.

You didn't even know how Haru and Rin got your numbers in the first place... it was odd.

It turns out that your sister, who is only a near 3 weeks old, had some birth complications. She did nearly arrive a month early, so that was to be expected.

Turns out that she had immature lungs, and needed constant attention within the hospital. Your mother was distraught and tired more than usual, and was afraid to touch her daughter.

They have yet to decided the full name since they want her to have a middle name as well as a first. But, they're leaning towards Aki.

Little Aki has RDS, Respiratory Distress Syndrome and their are very few treatments, but the ones they do have are very effective.

Currently, Aki was on a respirator, otherwise known as a ventilator.

You wanted to visit, but whenever you tried visiting hours were either over, or you had very important essays to be completed. You already knew that even on bed rest, your mother would give you an earful on how you shouldn't worry about her, and that your studies should be your major focus.

It was 9 pm, and your fingers could finally take a break from the keyboard. Your English Essay on Book 1 from the Odyssey was finally complete.

You felt as if you could breathe again.

Sitting back in your computer chair, your phone began to suddenly vibrate and you noticed you got a text message.

Grabbing your phone, you unlocked it, and the brightness of the screen seemed brighter than your laptops.

It was the devil himself.

Rin.

In the end of the kitchen disaster, Haru did go home, and Rin took his sister and left. Both seemed upset and didn't utter words to you.

R: Coming over.
Y/N: Don't.
R: Too late, I'm outside. Show hospitality.
Y/N: My brother is here, hang out with him.
R: I don't associate with the opposing swim team, two days before competition. It can either make or break me.
Y/N: Hope it breaks ya.
R: That wasn't funny.
Y/N: Go away then. Maybe I'll be more humorous.

You were already smiling for no reason.

A soft knock could be heard on the opposite side of the door and you expected it to be the twins. Since neither of their parents were home, they had been antsy lately and cried more often. It wasn't like they didn't get to visit, because they did when Hirioshi could pick them up.

This was usually since they were only five and weren't use to there parents being away a extended periods of times. They have been asking if they could sleep with you, or sometimes asked Rei instead. Of course there was the rare chance that the twins would pick and choose who they wanted, and slept separately.

You figured tonight that it was your turn to bunk in the same bed with them.

Walking to the door with just a cami and short shorts that you sleep in, you turn the knob and spoke.

"Alright guys-"

It wasn't Mitsu or Matsu. Rin stood in the doorway grinning down at you.

He was wearing a leather jacket, with a shirt underneath that had a winged skull on it. The background was gray. He wore dark jeans that were almost black.
