Sometimes....it hurts.

"Jay! Jay wake up we dont have mych time before dad gets home! Come on we jave to get out of here." Jay's mom says.

He wakes up to her shouting and confused "What?"

"Come on your brother is in the car we have to go I will explain in the car."

They rush out the door and get in the car. Jay's brother Will falls asleep immediately but Jay was awake permanently. He was confused did his dad do something why did they have to leave?

"Mom?" He asks.

"Yeah?"

"Where are we going?"

"To a fresh start....Chicago." his mom says continuing to drive.

Chicago.

2 months later.

Jay and his brother started school today, Will was going into high school and Jay was a junior. They never changed schools and Jay knew he would hate it. Especially now that Will went to his school. They hopped on the bus and sat together. Once they got to the school Will had already made a friend that was showing him around. But Jay had no one.

"Hey you new?" A boy said coming up to Jay.

"Um yeah." He said quietly.

"Cool man I'm Adam." He said holding his hand out.

"Jay."

"You a senior?"

"Junior."

"Cool, me too." He said smiling at him.

Jay never had a lot of friends he kept to himself. So it was weird for him to be talking to him.

The other bus rolled around and then these guys hopped off. Tall, brown haired guys they had basketballs in their hands. They were the popular ones. Then Jay kept looking and saw the prettiest girl he had ever seen. Dark brown hair, a little shorter than him and she was beautiful.

"Hello eath to Jay." Adam said waving his hands.

"Sorry, um who is that girl."

"Oh her? That's Erin and she is totally off limits her boyfriend Kelly is the most popular person in the school every guy wants her but Kelly got her first, she can be nice sometimes but she's captain of the cheerleading squad."

Jay kept staring, and he couldn't look away. Then Kelly and all the basketball guys went up to him. "Hey you the new kid?" He said pretending to throw his ball at his chest. Jay flinched and all the guys laughed. Then Erin walked over to them grabbing Kelly's arm but he pulled away continuing to talk to Jay.

"A few things you better listen to. You stay away from my game, my ball, my gym floor and more importantly my girlfriend." He said getting in Jay's face.

"Kelly!" Erin said.

Jay thought she had the most pretty voice.

"You do those 4 things and we won't have a problem. And your lucky she's here cause I would bury you in moments, just because I don't like new kids." Kelly looked at Erin and laughed with his friends.

He pushed Jay to the ground and all his books came out of his bag. Kelly laughed and walked away and Erin followed him looking guilty.

"Sorry." She mumbled looking at him out of the corner of her eye.

"You okay my man?" Adam said helping Jay with his books.

"Yeah I'm fine. Does he always do that?" Jay says wiping the dust from his shirt.

"Kelly is the biggest bully in school.
