Sometimes....it hurts.

"Mom? Hey mom?" Jay called out before the bus came.

"Yeah?"

"Um don't pick me up after school I will have Adam bring me home." Jay says about to walk out the door.

"Wait stop, why?" His mom asks turning off the sink.

"I have basketball practice." Jay said putting his head down smiling softly.

"What? Basketball? I didn't know that you we're on the team!" His mom says hugging him.

"Yeah joined yesterday I guess."

"That's great honey!"

"Yeah I gotta go bye mom!" Jay said running out to the bus.

"Oh okay bye!" She said screaming out the window.

"Basketball." She said to herself, smiling and continuing to do the dishes up.

The bus pulled into the school and was just behind the other one. Erin and Jay we're never on the same bus which sucked because he liked her alot. Or he at least thought he did.

"Hey." Erin said to Kelly sitting next to him.

"Hey hottie." Kelly said touching her cheek.

Jay couldn't look away from them and it sucked to see them together. Kelly kissed Erin then it got serious. He had never see them kiss. Then Adam caught Jay staring at them.

"Hey get used to it, you are gonna see them kissing everywhere cause they kiss more than they talk honestly, one time Kelly got suspended for skipping class and going in the janitors closet to sleep with her." Adam said laughing as they kept looking at them kissing.

"But Erin didn't?" Jay said confused still looking at them.

"Everyone loves Erin I guess she talked the principal out of it."

"Cause she's a flirt?"

"No cause the prinicpal gives her everything she wants cause of her home life." Adam said walking to class, leaving Jay behind.

"I gotta get to class but I will see you in 4th?" Erin said breaking the kiss.

"Unless you wanna skip?"

"I will see you in 4th Kel." Erin said kissing his cheek and walking into the school building. She noticed Jay staring at her and she barely looked but once she looked away so did he.

Then his day went on normally. He didn't understand why all he was thinking about was Erin and all he wanted to stare at was her. Even though she had a boyfriend, Jay still liked her alot. 

They had 2nd period together and Erin hadn't talked to Jay since their coffee date or whatever it was. So he finally decided to make the first move and say something.

"Pssst!" Jay whispered looking at Erin, though she just sighed and kept looking at the board.

"Erin!" He whispered again.

But she did nothing.

"Hello Erin?"

"What?!" She said finally giving in.

"You haven't talked to me since our coffee date thing." He said confused.

"First of all it wasn't a date, and second of all I don't have to talk to you. You and me are not friends, you have your life and I've got mine."

"Listen I just--"

"Mr Halstead! You don't want to stay after class for a detention slip do you?" The teacher asked rising from his desk.
