"I don't think so, Taemin."
Jungkook's voice was raspy and dark, his appearance nearly demonic. He'd grabbed Taemin by his arm, and his knuckles whitened as he clenched around the other's leather sleeve.
"Which one in your harem is this, Y/N?" Taemin asked sarcastically. No, not sarcastic. Closer to hateful, or even more correctly; vindictive.
Jungkook's eyes narrowed. "She's my Guarded. She belongs to me. And I belong to her."
Jeon Jungkook did it again.
A rush of emotion shot through my body. Taemin noticed the redness in my face, but he didn't understand it. "She doesn't seem to agree to that."
Jungkook studied my face, tsk-ing at Taemin. "I think she agrees more with me than you." He tilted his head, then adjusted it back to its former position. "Come, huntress, let's go."
I tried to follow his instruction, but Taemin still didn't let go of me. Jungkook's eyes went completely red. "Let her go, Taemin."
"Are you going to make me, vampire?" Taemin's voice was belittling. You're nothing. Nothing compared to me. My vision went red, and I did something I never would've done before.
I slapped Taemin so hard my palm sung with pain. He actually let go, stumbling to one side. Jungkook took the opportunity to grab Taemin by his neck, and throw him head first into the wall a few meters away. He sunk down, landing in a heap on the ground.
I didn't realize what I'd done until after it was over.
"No! Taemin!" I ran toward him. "Huntress, we don't have time!" Jungkook shouted, but I didn't care. "Call an ambulance or something! He could be dead!"
"No, they're coming! We need to go!"
I knew he was right. Somebody must have heard the crash, and they were definitely on their way. Throwing one last look at the crossbreed, I returned to Jungkook.
I grabbed his hand, ready to pull him with me to wherever we'd be safe. However, my hand lit up like a Christmas tree, light shooting through my fingers straight into him.
We were sucked into the white vortex together.

When my feet touched the ground, there came a familiar scent. It had to be home.
I peeled my eyes open, and saw that I was standing in my living room with Jungkook right next to me. "Wait, what?" I asked, completely confused.
"Huntress magic. There's little it can't do, but... teleportation is a new one. Consider yourself to be lucky."
"Yeah, awesome," I remarked halfheartedly. "Dad?" I called out, only to be met with silence. "He's home by two every day," I explained to Jungkook. "Dad? Are you here?"
"Y/N?!" somebody exclaimed, Jimin, Jin and Yoongi thundering down the stairs soon after. "Oh my God! You just hung up, I was so worried about you!" Jimin exclaimed, not hesitating a moment before embracing me.
"Is my dad here?" I wanted to keep hugging Jimin, but I couldn't. I pulled away, staring at him in despair. "Where's my dad? He always waits for me here, he never leaves- Have you seen him?"
Jimin looked at me with the most pain I'd seen in a while. "No. Y/N, we can't do this here-"
"Where is my dad?"
"Y/N-"
"Where's dad?!" I didn't want to yell. Of course not, but images of my father's corpse flooded my mind. I needed to know.
