Life with Jungkook could've been wonderful.

That was what I was thinking about as I lay there, a gigantic metal pillar across my chest. I struggled to breathe, and the metal was scorching hot.

But Jungkook was all my mind could focus on.

It should've been dad, or flashbacks from my life. Maybe my best memories of mom, dad and me as a family. Perhaps even the sight of him in the basement, although I was already beginning to forget that.

Jungkook, Jungkook, Jungkook. I smiled. Even his name was beautiful, though not as beautiful as his eyes or lips. Jungkook was a thousand shades of red, broken glass. Calm, but too dangerous to touch or remove from my mind.

In my soul, I was singing his name. Jungkook... Jungkoooook...

I twitched. Jungkook.

He was on the floor three meters away from me, the flames' light dancing in the blood around him. Although his eyes were closed, he looked ready to wake up at any second.

"Jungkook?" I whispered. It was all I could manage; the beam was pressing the air out of my lungs. "Shit... Kookie, get up."

The beam was hot enough to cause blisters. "Fuck!" My voice was a raspy screech, and I coughed.

Soon after, the pain followed. It was in every inch of me, but my head and chest were the worst. Thumping, churning, raging against my skin.

Emotional or physical?

No. That didn't matter.

"Y/N?"

Jimin.

There were movements behind me. Something scraped against the ground, shuffling the rubble around.

"You're alive, right?" he asked. Judging by his voice, he was in a similar state to mine.

"Jimin?!"

"Jin hyung!" Jimin exclaimed. "Where are you?!"

I tried to look around, and realized that I had gotten from the living room to the kitchen. Half of the previous was cut off by a wall of debris, stretching up to the ceiling.

"I can't see you! Who's on your side?!"

Jimin came into view. His clothes and hair were caked with blood and dirt, there was a prominent limp to his walk, and he had an open wound across his neck. "Y/N and Jungkook are here, but Yoongi's in the hallway!"

"I've got Joon, Taehyung, and Hoseok! Tae's awake, but the others are out!"

"F-fuck, Jimin, I need help," I groaned. The lack of air was causing spots to cross my vision, and I was turning more and more dizzy by the second.

Without hesitation, Jimin got to my side. "Y/N, listen, I-"

"Just do something, please." Not dad. Not right now. "Okay. Okay." He struggled with touching the beams as well, pulling his hands away the second they came into contact with the steel. "I can't-"

Something creaked above us. That was the only warning anybody could have received before a gigantic slice of the ceiling came down on us, bringing a rain of dust with it.
