The food we were eating was good, but she tasted better. That's all I kept thinking about as I watched Harper finish her burger. That hot encounter we'd had at the skatepark was the first time we'd done anything sexual since we got back together, so to say I was extremely sexually frustrated was very un-exaggerated.

She smiled at me after taking a sip of her Cola, "What?"

"You tore that food up," I chuckled. Just like I'm gonna do to you when we get home, I thought.

"It was good, duh. You barely touched your fries. Aren't you hungry?"

"Yeah, just for something else," I said under my breath.

"Huh?"

"Let's get outta here."

"Um, this isn't the way home, Harper."

"Is it not? Oops, must've taken a wrong turn," she grinned.

"More like four wrong turns. Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise."

I sighed, "I told you I didn't want a party..." I didn't wanna seem ungrateful. Seriously, the only thing I wanted for my birthday was her.

"It's not a party, just a small get together," She shrugged and I rolled my eyes. We drove for a little bit longer and she pulled into a Zap Zone parking lot.

I raised my brows, "Zap Zone?"

"It was Donny's idea. He said you like laser tag," she said, unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out of the car. I followed suit. I was pretty excited, despite my reaction being lackluster.

"I haven't been in years."

"Well, get ready to have fun. Come on, Donny and Lys are inside already," She grabbed my hand and we went indoors. Donny and Alyssa were standing near the entrance talking. "Hey, you two."

"What's up?! Happy birthday, E!" Adonis grinned and threw his arms over me and Harper's shoulders.

"Happy birthday, Ethan!" Alyssa added and joined the hug. We all pulled away and Donny handed me a wristband. Alyssa handed one to Harper, "We already paid for you guys, so hurry and put those on."

"Yeah, I'm ready to kick your asses in laser tag," Donny grinned cockily.

"You're on!"

Harnesses were on, laser guns were in hand, and there were two teams of 6. My teammates were Alyssa, two teenagers, a little kid, and the kid's dad. Donny, Harper, the kid on my team's mom and sister, and a set of twins made up the other team. Things were gonna be interesting.

"...And no physical contact. Does anyone have any questions before you begin?" the instructor asked us after explaining the rules. Everyone either shook their head or said no. "Okay, have fun!" He opened the door and we all rushed in. Laser sounds were already going off like crazy.
