[CHAPTER TWO]

IT WAS CLEAR TO ODETTE that she experienced a lot of things before whatever happened to her. She didn't know a lot about things then, but there was a small feeling of familiarity.

Apparition had amazed her when Dumbledore explained what it was. He warned her of the side-effects, which Odette mentally prepared herself for. However, when she experienced it, she felt an uneasy feeling but she didn't feel sick. This only made her want to know who she was more.

Odette wasn't born yesterday or that day technically, she had lived for seventeen years and learned things. For all she knew, she could have been on her way to discover a cure for something, she doubted it though. Still, Odette wanted her memories back. She wanted to know if she had a family, if so where were they? Was she in love? What school did she go to? She had so many questions that she wanted solved. But that wasn't the time and she knew it.

They apparated in front of a house tucked away from the clear view. Dumbledore walked quickly to the front of the house, Odette followed closely behind him.

After she decided a name for herself, Dumbledore asked if she would go with him. She was told that she would be safe where they were going to go. She agreed, because she couldn't intrude on Margot and Robbie, plus she had nowhere else to go.

There was a few other people inside the house. They stopped what they were doing once they spotted Dumbledore. A woman, maybe late thirties, stood up and walked over to Dumbledore.

"Did everything go alright?" she asked, worry laced in her voice.

"Yes," said Dumbledore, "Do not worry, Liu."

She nodded, before she turned to Odette.

She offered a smile, "Hello, I'm Liu. You must be so confused."

"I am," giggled Odette, "I'm Odette."

"Nice to meet you," said Liu, "Why don't you take a seat? Are you thirsty?"

"I'm fine, thank you," said Odette as she was led to the couch.

Margot gave her some warm tea before she left with Dumbledore. Odette really liked Margot. Margot told Odette to feel free to reach out to her anytime.

"She remembers nothing?" asked a man, entering the main room. A redhead followed behind him.

"Unfortunately not," said Dumbledore, "I am planning to reach out to the nearby schools in an effort to gain any information."

"Oh no," said the redhead, "What's going to happen to her? It's too dangerous for her to go out on her own with no recollection of her memory."

"I'll have to find somewhere safe she could stay," said Dumbledore.

"She could stay with us," spoke Liu, "I'm sure my girls would love to have her around, especially since she doesn't look older than a teenager."

"That's not a bad idea," said Dumbledore, "However, it is up to Odette."

Eyes were turned to Odette, who had been uncomfortable the entire time. She had hoped that maybe someone knew her, but she knew that was very unlikely. Everyone here was a stranger to her, just as she was a stranger to them.
