[CHAPTER FOUR]

AFTER DUMBLEDORE LEFT, Xia let out the loudest squeal Odette had ever heard. Odette moved away from her in fear that she would be attacked with a hug in the midst of Mei's excitement. Thankfully, she was not.

"Where did you come from?" asked Mei, dodging Xia's attempt to hug her.

"I live here," said Xia, "I heard everything — well, not everything because Odette spoke really quietly, but practically everything."

"I forgot to ask how would Odette be sorted," asked Liu.

"Sorted?" repeated Odette.

"Oh yeah!" said Mei, taking a seat beside her. Xia sat on the other side of Odette.

"Hogwarts has different houses that first-year students are sorted into. They will remain a part of that house for the rest of their life!" said Xia, excitedly.

"Rest of their life? That sounds like a lot of commitment," said Odette.

"Well, we don't choose our house," said Mei, "The sorting hat does."

"A hat?"

"Yes, a hat," said Mei, "It reads your mind and sorts you in a house by your personality or morals or something."

"A hat does all that?"

"Hey!" said Mei, "At least your older sister didn't tell you that you had to fight a giant to death."

"— You believed that?" said Odette.

"Of course she did," spoke up Hua, "She was practically trembling on the train."

Xia shook her head, "There's something wrong with you, Hua."

"I'm still your favourite sister though, right?"

"Yeah, of course!" said Xia.

Mei cleared her throat, "I'm still here."

"I know!" said Xia, turning back to face her with a grin.

Mei glared at Xia before turning back to Odette, "There are four houses: Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and the best house, Ravenclaw."

"Slytherin is the house of the —" Xia was interrupted.

"Evil," interrupted Hua.

"Shut up!" said Xia, "I'm trying to talk here, wait your turn."

"A whole house is evil?" said Odette.

"Well — no," said Mei, "But most are."

"So you toss the whole house away?" said Odette in disbelief.

"Can everyone stop interrupting me?" said Xia.

"Oh! You didn't know?" said Mei, "It's Interrupt Xia day today!"

"How mean!" said Xia.

"There's no point in being nice after you chose your favourite sister."
